OKCRT 01-14-2011, 05:37 PM Does anyone remember a cartoon where the good guy starts losing his power and lights up a smoke and he's strong again? I think it was called "Tobar the 8th Man" or something like that. Had to be around 65-67 and I don't remember it staying on the air too long. Can you imagine something like that today? Light up a smoke and you have super human powers! I would imagine that the cig. co's had to have something to do with this cartoon. Back then they wanted to start kids young it seemed. papaOU 01-14-2011, 06:35 PM Many of those were the death of real cartoons; Speed Racer, Scooby Doo, Johnny Quest, any super hero's. When I see cartoons I want to be amused, not solving a crime, or any with a moral. Now Bullwinkle had some fun and said they had moral. grantgeneral78 02-13-2011, 06:07 PM What was the one where they were all choppers.....like something and the chopper bunch or something? papaOU 02-13-2011, 06:13 PM How about Deputy Dawg!! rcjunkie 02-13-2011, 09:08 PM My personal favorite was Fog Horn Leg Horn, I Say--I Say--I Say Boy. Kerry 02-15-2011, 12:42 PM It is called Boomerang - if your cable company doesn't offer it switch to DirecTV. The Jetsons are on right now but you will need to wait until 2AM to see the Banana Splits. |
