Did anybody watch this on ESPN's "30 for 30" last night? It's the story of Marcus Dupree and how his career went off-track. I thought it was excellent and fleshed out a lot of the "why's?" that surrounded his leaving OU.

He had more natural talent than any runner I have ever seen. Just had no idea what to do with it. Tragic.

Hopefully it wil run again soon cause I missed it. Bad information in and bad decisions out...oh what could have been. As strange as it sounds his natural talent might have been a large part of his undiong.

Watch the show. It wasn't Marcus who didn't know how to deal with it. It was OU. Switzer calls him "the biggest regret in my coaching career". But he also calls Dupree, "The best athlete I ever coached." Stop for a second and think of who that includes.

I watched this, and even though I knew most of the story already I found it to be really interesting. It's a really sad story. I was only 8 or 9 years old when DuPree was at OU, but I remember watching him in the Texas game.

It was sad, wasn't it? Almost like some kind of morality play.

It was not what I expected. I expected a story of a kid who got too cocky or something which was not the case. Nobody (maybe his mother) truly had his back at the time. His own uncle was making deals behind his back while he was being recruited. He could not even trust the guy who put Pastor in front of his name.
