The Mustang City Mgr has contacted a couple of steak houses but my guess is Country Equipment or someone like that will move there.
View Full Version : What do you think will go in the Cosby Ranch building? stick47 10-24-2010, 03:42 PM The Mustang City Mgr has contacted a couple of steak houses but my guess is Country Equipment or someone like that will move there. osu cowboy 10-26-2010, 03:12 PM I thought a restaurant of some kind might do well just down the street from the new armory. stick47 10-26-2010, 03:16 PM I read that a food truck was seeking a permit to operate in Mustang. The application is pending. I believe this would be like the mobile canteen truck that serves the West Reno Avenue area. Lurker34 10-27-2010, 02:38 PM My guess is it will sit vacant for awhile, just like the ACE hardware store. Its just not a good time to start a new business. Too bad, it's a nice building. PennyQuilts 10-28-2010, 07:50 AM I wish they would put in a semi nice restaurant, there. It is not far from the house. I hope a Country Equipment doesn't go there, actually. Pioneer is right down the street and there are some other similar stores in the area. silvergrove 10-28-2010, 01:47 PM I moved out of the Mustang area a few months ago, how come the Cosby Ranch went down? I bought chicken feed there, I thought they were doing fairly well. PennyQuilts 10-28-2010, 01:59 PM I don't "actually" know why they went down but I could get whatever I wanted at Dawson's Feed or Tractor Supply, cheaper. It seemed more like a gift shop than a farm equipment/feed store. I liked it but I didn't shop there for anything but coffee mugs and knicknacks. The western decor only appeals to so many people. Lurker34 10-29-2010, 12:18 PM I was confused by their business model. Nick-nacks and chicken feed? Brick-a-brack and cow pens? jarrington00 12-26-2010, 10:19 AM The couple that owned it got a divorce and sold everything.... PennyQuilts 12-26-2010, 11:01 AM The couple that owned it got a divorce and sold everything.... Too bad. Well, the disconnect between the two of them might be the reason for the ecletic business model. I hope things go better for them. You hate to see a dream die and they put a lot of work into that building. stick47 09-14-2011, 05:24 PM The building became a private school http://goldenhalledu.org/ Lazy_C_Ranch 09-21-2011, 09:28 AM It's too bad Ace Hardware closed, it was much easier to get things we needed there, and kept us away from the madhouse at Wal-Mart. The Cosby Ranch building is nice, probably too small for a real farm/ranch store. I went there during their Grand Opening. I couldn't make sense of it all. It was like an Atwoods combined with Lorec Ranch, with a 20% markup to cover their overhead. ljbab728 09-21-2011, 10:42 PM The building became a private school http://goldenhalledu.org/ Not good news about that school. http://www.mustangpaper.com/v2/content.aspx?module=ContentItem&ID=223121&MemberID=1586 |
