I'm surprised that no one has brought up the recent passing of two of televisions most iconic parents. Both Barbara Billingsley (June Cleaver on Leave it to Beaver) and Tom Bosley (Mr. C on Happy Days) have died in the last couple of days. She was 94 and he was 83. Neither were superstars but were perfect for their roles and they will be remembered forever in constant reruns.

I knew the lady croaked, but I did not see any mention of the guy's croaking.
Betty White still lives!

probably because a good portion of users on this site are under 30 and don't really know who those people are.

Noticed those, but my being bummed over a more local death remains a larger issue, for me, at least for another day or three.

One response at a time now.

1. Thunder how would you feel if your mom passed away and someone said she croaked? That's very disrespectful.
probably because a good portion of users on this site are under 30 and don't really know who those people are.
2. I'm sure a lot of the people who post here never watched June Cleaver or Mr. C when they were originally on. They are still in constant reruns though and I suspect that most are at least aware of who they were. I see many references in this section about celebrities of the past going back even further. Would it be more significant for the posters if Snooki died? That would be really sad.

3. I haven't noticed any recent local celebrity deaths so I'm not sure of the relevence unless someone just doesn't pay any attention to anyone who isn't local. And I know it's not necessarily a reason to get "bummed" but it is significant and worth noting anyway.
