Correct HotRod. And if I'm not mistaken it fronts NW 23rd and Western?

Are you sure this isn't a different project... because the new development at 26th and Classen has a sign out front claiming it is Sun Moon Plaza.... it;s basically complete except for the large pagoda thing.

Correct, it's at 23rd and Western on the NW corner in the Asian District. There are renderings in the original thread, I just can't seem to locate that thread with the new search on this site. No the one at 26th and Classen I think says Plaza II or something like that. BTW a place called Bistro is moving in there, so great to see a new restaurant coming to the Asian District.

This has to be one of the ugliest strip malls in recent memory. But I suppose it's better than what was there before...

Actually it does say Sun Moon Plaza... in fact it was up for awhile in that sport... when the development at 23rd and Western began that same sign was MOVED to 23rd.... later it was moved BACK to 26th and Classen.

I think it is all part of Sun Moon Plaza to be honest.

Does the city no longer require new developments to have landscaping?

I ask because the sun moon plaza at 26th and classen has none.

It will have a pagoda in the middle of it. The project is hardly complete, although I can imagine it looks pretty weird with a semi-finished looking strip center snaking around that Rent-A-Center.

A lot of the Asian District's redevelopment has been Fail. But it is diversity, it is culture, it is new development, they do put little Oriental details on their EIFS strip mall facades, and it's better than what was there, so we're supposed to love it.

It will have a pagoda-shaped EIFS atrocity on one end. The project is hardly complete, although I can imagine it looks pretty weird with a semi-finished looking strip center snaking around that Rent-A-Center.

Fix'd.
