Should be good news for Durant and co

The Denver Nuggets went into weekend on the brink of completing a four-team megatrade that would land All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony with the New Jersey Nets, according to sources with knowledge of the negotiations.

The proposed deal, as ESPN.com reported earlier Friday, would also involve Utah and Charlotte and is poised to deliver prized Nets rookie Derrick Favors, Jazz veteran Andrei Kirilenko and multiple future first-round picks to Denver in exchange for their franchise player.

Sources told ESPN.com that the deal, which has yet to be finalized, would send former All-Star point guard Devin Harris to Charlotte, with Bobcats forward Boris Diaw moving to Utah. The Bergen Record reported Friday afternoon that the Nets would also receive Bobcats guard D.J. Augustin, with New Jersey's Jarvis Hayes accompanying Harris to Charlotte in a sign-and-trade. Nets swingman Quinton Ross would go to Utah and Denver would get a 1-to-7 protected first-round pick in 2012 that New Jersey received from Golden State.

ROFLMAO - Denver would have to be stupid to do that trade. Why on earth would Denver give up Carmelo Anthony for a future draft pick? Do they think they can draft someone better?

Got to remember that Carmelo's agent has to get his cut; therefore, there are going to be a lot slices being cut into this pie:

1. Player (Carmelo) doesn't have to speak his mind to media mongils or fans durings contract negotiations.

2. Behind the scenes doesn't have to be a media circus. Keep the media mongils guessing.

3. Patch and repair the relationship with Denver fans (who are forgiving) once he signs with Denver.

4. Finale analysis: Carmelo wins, agent wins, fans when and the Media Mongils gets their story.

Hmmm...I could have SWORN folks were saying that it would be OKC that wouldn't be able to keep good players.

What if Okc traded for Melo? We could give up Jeff Green, another player or two and a few draft picks.

I think anyone except KD, Westbrook, or Ibaka.

Sometimes it would be great to have another franchise player, we need to keep in mind that with Durant-Green-Westbrook trio that we have a core of players to build around--players who play together and get along. So far the Presti Plan is working (low budgeted OKC) by building through the draft with high energy and chemistry.

Lately, Green has been the talk of trade bait, we need to hang on to this guy; he is one of the silent forces of this team.

You don't want to trade Green; he will come back to haunt you!

That was only from people who couldn't keep an entire team of bad players.
