Steve 09-22-2010, 11:18 AM Last I heard, Edmond isn't Oklahoma City. Thanks for the update Soonerqueen. Easy180 09-22-2010, 11:34 AM Is it going in where Pablano's used to be? metro 09-22-2010, 01:36 PM Last I heard, Edmond isn't Oklahoma City. Thanks for the update Soonerqueen. Yes but didn't know if the OP knew there was already one in the metro. In other news, you can now find the menu for Big Truck Tacos on their officiial fanboi site www.okccentral.com Steve 09-22-2010, 01:37 PM Metro, you're charming as always. SoonerQueen 09-22-2010, 02:35 PM I ate at the Edmond location last night. The new location is in Oklahoma City. They will have three locations. John 09-22-2010, 04:39 PM Soon to be 4... kevinpate 09-22-2010, 04:40 PM Looks like somebody may need a nap, or maybe a scooter ride. flintysooner 09-22-2010, 06:06 PM Soon to be 4... Where's #4 going in? metro 09-23-2010, 04:03 PM Metro, you're charming as always. The sad thing is we're so alike. Steve 09-23-2010, 04:06 PM Can anyone reveal the secret ingredients to the Pa's dressing at Famous Jo's? John 09-23-2010, 06:12 PM Where's #4 going in? An article within the past week or two (IIRC) said Norman was getting a store. SoonerQueen 09-23-2010, 07:15 PM Pa's garlic dressing is to die for. I love that stuff. Easy180 11-10-2010, 07:46 PM Is it going in where Pablano's used to be? In today's exciting news...It did go in the old Pablano's bldg kevinpate 11-11-2010, 06:07 AM An article within the past week or two (IIRC) said Norman was getting a store. I noticed a sign the other day in Norman on W Lindsey, a bit east of the W Lindsey / SW24th intersection. I wish them well. That location has seen lots of failure over the alst couple of decades. It would be nice to see someone make a go of it there. Tritone 11-11-2010, 07:10 PM I've seen the sign also. If they're connected with the Jo's Pizza in Purcell, count me in. I like their pizza. And, as kevinpate said, that location in Norman has not had the best go of things lately. Legal 11-11-2010, 08:11 PM Jo's Famous Pizza in Purcell has been sold. Jo Ellen Powers is getting up in years and has retired. She is the sister to Dwight Powers of Powers Auto Group. I am sure the new owners are using the famous recipes. I hope they continue to dish up the Famous Pizza. metro 11-12-2010, 10:02 AM I've seen the sign also. If they're connected with the Jo's Pizza in Purcell, count me in. I like their pizza. And, as kevinpate said, that location in Norman has not had the best go of things lately. Yes it is the same company as the one in Purcell, they also have a location in Edmond positano 11-12-2010, 03:24 PM I won't repeat the story, because I don't know it well enough to get the facts straight, but if you talk to the Purcell folks they can tell you something about there being a dispute amongst the family (or owners) and that one or more of the "Jo's" people separated and opened "Rodney's" pizza in Purcell. The talk is that since the split, "Jo's" has deteriorated and that "Rodney's" is what "Jo's" used to be. Tritone 11-12-2010, 09:36 PM I'll try Rodney's, famous or otherwise. Gotta have good pizza once in a while. soonerguru 12-08-2010, 12:29 PM I visited the Edmond location. Worst pizza I've ever eaten that wasn't frozen from the grocery store. I actually asked the manager if that's how the pizza was normally prepared, and he said yes. The dough was horrific. It was a soft, doughy mess. The pizza was so loaded with cheese and toppings you couldn't taste anything. It was actually disgusting. I'm told the original location in Purcell before it was sold was very good, but I will never return. Life is too short to eat such bad pizza. metro 12-08-2010, 03:30 PM I visited the Edmond location. Sounds like it to me considering the tons of good reviews they get, I've eaten there as well and it was delish and their salad is excellent too! |
