I saw equipment there and some guys putting in a silt fence on Friday. I heard a while back it was going to be a 9,100 sf strip center called Royal Rock Shops but it isn't something I really know. I did read that Royal Rock had asked for and received final plat approval from the City of Moore but I'm not certain if this is the same thing.

19th is going to get even more crazy wth traffic, they need to just widen it to three lanes ea. side with a middle turn lane from telephone road to santa fe before it gets worse

Seems to me the intersection at Telephone Road and then that section on up to I-35 is much better now that the widening is pretty much done.

The traffic count report from the City shows about 21,000 vehicles per day on 19th.

Santa Fe between 4th and 19th is slowly making progress and that will be a big help I think.

Hopefully 25th will eventually go across Telephone and connect to Fritts Blvd.

And then maybe 34th will someday cross I-35 which would be a huge help.

I am certainly no expert on traffic capacity but I've asked about it. I was told that the number of lanes doesn't impact the capacity as much as other factors. I've read that capacity should be around 8,000 to 10,000 vehicles per day per lane. That would mean that 19th as now configured should be able to handle an increase of 50% to 100%.

But the intersections are a different story. However, Target is located at Fritts Blvd and 19th Street so it seems to me that intersection would be effected a great deal. The changes they've made at I-35 and then at Telephone should help traffic going straight and traffic turning. I wouldn't expect that Wal-Mart's traffic count would drastically increase because of Target.

The Target plan only shows on out parcel in front of their site that is right on the west side of Fritts and 19th.

Personally I will try to make sure I'm somewhere else on Black Friday though!!

I was just on Royal Rocks website and they mention a Marshalls in Moore, am I in the dark because I don't know of one ?

The intersection is “ground zero” for retail in the City of Moore. Royal
Rock Center is situated west of the Super Wal-Mart and directly north of
Home Depot and proposed Target. Target closed on their site in April,
2010, for a proposed 133,000 s.f. store. Other national retailers in the
area include Warren Theater, Bed Bath & Beyond, Hobby Lobby, Gordman’s,
Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Shoe Carnival, Marshall’s, Harley Davidson, Furr’s
Cafeteria, Chili’s, Starbuck’s, Dollar Tree, Aldi’s, Taco Bueno, Burger
King, Subway, McDonald’s, Carl’s Jr., BancFirst and Quizno’s.

That pdf shows a Hastings in that new center going in. That would be sweet! If the sporting goods store ends up being a Dick's Sporting goods, I'd be very happy! I'm so tired of Academy.

Also, it says proposed SuperTarget on there. Last I heard from my friends that still work at Target, it's not going to be a SuperTarget, but more of a larger than normal Target. I wonder what is actually going in?

i think the moore target will be something new they are trying, they said it will have a grocery in it, a pizza hut in it is pretty cool. It must be a new type of target they are building
