We are trying to figure out what would be best for our future children, we both went to Edmond schools but we are very interested in the charter schools here in the city. Does anyone have any advice on good schools?

There aren't a lot of charter middle and elementary schools, though Independence Charter Middle School is quite good. There are quite a few high school options to choose from. If they are high school age, then I would have to endorse my own school. You may PM me if you would like to know more. CCOKC 08-03-2010, 10:32 PM I will endorse her school as well. My son is starting OSU this fall with 18 hours of AP credit going to Harding Charter Prep. SoonerQueen 08-08-2010, 11:27 PM My youngest son went to Independence Enterprise Middle School here in Oklahoma City. I have to say it was the best school he ever went to. Very hands on and the teachers and parents work together. Janet Barresi started it and we were happy to get in there. urbanity 09-07-2011, 10:57 AM Commentary: ‘Education as a common good’ http://www.okgazette.com/oklahoma/article-12880-%E2%80%98education-as-a-common-good%E2%80%99.html MustangGT 09-07-2011, 04:28 PM Great article and sound judgment posted therein. |
