I moved to Edmond 6 weeks ago and I'm having trouble finding a good place to buy steaks. I love to grill and usually avoid eating at steakhouses because I do a better job at home.
The best recommendation I've had so far is Crescent Market. But geez, 30-40 mins one way just to buy steaks? Is there some place in Edmond that sells a good steak?
(please, no suggestions for wal-mart, sam's, or homeland)

i can't comment on any places in edmond, but i get steaks from three places:
bill kamp's meat market, 7310 north western
rhett's meat market, 9300 north may
boucherie meat market, 7408 north may
kamp's is my favorite all-around pick as they have a good variety of quality meats. rhett's is my current favorite for steaks. -M

Country Home Meat Co. @ Coltrane and Waterloo
What's wrong with Homeland? You can get the butcher to do cuts for you.

I buy pretty decent steaks from the meat market in Crest. Otherwise, Crescent Market or Boucherie. I haven't tried Kamps or Rhett's. Will put those on my list.

Rhett's is worth the drive for sure. Heck of a nice guy too.

You can't beat Crest' quality and price IMO.
