Paul F. Tompkins, fresh from his Comedy Central Special, "You Should Have Told Me," is on his way to Oklahoma City on Saturday July 31st, 2010. His credits, if listed, would extend beyond the provided space here. To list a few, he played roles in Tenacious D, and wrote for and played in all four seasons of, Mr. Show with Bob & David, on HBO. He's appeared on the Sarah Silverman Program, on Comedy Central. He has starred in his own HBO & Comedy Central Stand-Up Comedy specials. Also hosting, VH1's Best Week Ever, Paul F. Tompkins is one of the most prolific comedians to ever perform in Oklahoma City.

I was definitely considering this but the venue threw me for a loop...We talking folding chairs or what?...Couldn't visualize the setup for a comedy show based off the website

There is a small jewel of a theater inside the City Arts Center. It's set up with a fantastic audio/video system & the acoustics are great for this type of event. There is a dance troupe & a theater company that both use the space for regular performances. The setup of the room is similar to a movie theater, but the chairs are folding chairs. We used it last month when comedian, Doug Benson, came to town, and it was a success in nearly every way. I hope you decide to give it a chance - it's a nice place, and it will be a great show.
