I agree, this hotel is wonderful looking. I 'only' wish it were 10 storeys so it would make an even better presence on the skyline (and since it is a nice building) but that is just the spoiled brat in me. lol.

I wish the blue form on top went all the way around and not just on the ends and the northern half because, as stated earlier, the south face is so bland, having light shining out on that blue form over the south portion of the hotel would be more of a beacon to me...from the interstates and what not.

Toured the site a couple weeks ago. Sign is coming. You know that's phase 3 stuff. Rooms looked 80% done. Event space looks AMAZING. So do the executive loft style suites. A mildly educated guess is that it opens march. Lighting looks amazing in person. Eye catching for blocks. Also the grade level restaurant layouts look killer.

Good catch. Well that's a little misleading isn't it? Will their bar/coffee shop open 1/30 but it won't be open to guests? Not sure I've ever heard of that. Also looks like it's going to be SPG Category 4 - the highest category among any OKC starwood hotel I believe.

Just a guess. Common areas food and bar areas will become available before pillow time spaces will become available.

Or, some rooms will be available but they don't want to commit to taking reservations until March.

I just want the place open!! Will be a big game-changer for Deep Deuce and hopefully bring a lot more business to Native Roots.

Yeah I think it's pretty common for hotels to have "soft openings" for a month or two before taking online reservations, the last thing they want to do is have to cancel a big block of patrons due to last minute touches or unforeseen mechanical issues. Common sense to me?

Actually, it does look like the nicest Aloft property I've seen. My boss will probably want to stay here every time he's here on business.

FYI the rooftop signage is up, sorry didn't get a picture.

Also, I need to take a closer look, but it looked like "regular width" sidewalks (instead of wider ones) were going in around the hotel, which is disappointing if true, but I need to go back and double check.

Also, WSKY is expanding and there will be another restaurant/bar at the far west end of Aloft.

Vibrant neighborhood teeming with activity already with more on the way!

I can't wait to live in this neighborhood in a week.

Bricktown's instagram account posted that the Hilton Garden Inn would open in January but that they didn't have a date yet. Will be interesting to see which one opens first...

Starwood site is now saying 2/20 for the Aloft. So, looks like Hilton will win, but will they have corner jacuzzi suites?

This is a really stellar photo, ksearls. Aerials like this really show off the density levels we're building up and how well buildings compliment each other. I think that the aloft is the perfect compliment to LEVEL across 2nd Street. Very complimentary streetwalls and scales

There hasn't been any sort of building permit for the restaurant space as of yet.

Last I knew, they were still seeking a tenant for that space.

I wasn't saying develop the pocket park. I'd like to see development between the the one building (across from Maywood Lofts...having a brain fart on its name) and the pocket park. Basically the parking lot and where that construction trailer is sitting. Park stays.

Now if developers can figure out how to incorporate that multi-level parking structure north of Main Street just west of the viaduct with room to allow for a future commuter rail line ramp to be built over your extended pocket park to Main then a lot of us will be smiling! :)

There are three separate properties between the Clark Building and Aloft:

1. The parking lot immediately east of the Clark, owned by the same people
2. A lot that extends east from that parking lot to about the middle of the pocket park, owned by Ron Bradshaw & Co.
3. The eastern half o the pocket park which is actually City right-of-way

Great idea.

That would be very easy too, because there's already a plaza with a vista of Bricktown, and a pocket park doesn't have to meet the same standards for bridging the Rock Island ROW (future Amtrak connection) that an actual automobile thoroughfare would. There have been numerous calls for connecting Oklahoma Avenue, which hasn't come to fruition just because that's a much more difficult proposition regardless of what a great idea it would be.

Was in Dallas this past weekend visiting the convention center, and I must say our Aloft is twice as nice. And Dallas's Aloft is arguably in a nicer location directly across the street.
