Thanks for the photos as usual. But I must say, I am sick of Aloft pictures. This project is like a bad dream during a coma. It will never end.

Do they only have so much scaffolding? I mean come on now, this project is slow as molasses. A snail would win this race, lol.

To be fair, every other hotel completed recently is basically a big box. This has a far more complex exterior. While I wish it had been faced in stone, it actually looks pretty good. And quite soon there will be no more reason for pictures until its ready to open, as the exterior is very close to complete. It's almost time for sidewalks and landscaping.

Hope for January. The exterior is almost complete, and the interior should be like clockwork. Deep Deuce is about to see a very, very dramatic change.

That is a VERY COOL photo! But there's something odd about it. I think it must be the long exposure that smoothed out the building facade -- it makes it look more like a rendering than an actual photo.

But you can see already what a "pizzaz" factor this building adds to the street / area.

It looks like a rendering because of the glass at the top on the west side…but if you look at the glass on the bottom of the west side, it looks real

Often on a slow-shutter shot, small vibrations of the tripod (traffic movement, wind, etc.) will cause the "smoothing" out. The building "moves" in the frame by a very small margin and it blurs.

It's like Aloft is creating an Oklahoma Blues that will be played as a jazz tune at the WSKY Lounge...

I'll be a lot happier when they finish up the sidewalks and restore the street to full capacity.

They are killing Native Roots with the unholy mess at that intersection.

With the opening happening soon and with their bars/restaurants and with Urban Johnnie's, hopefully all that extra foot traffic boosts Native Roots sufficiently... I know they need it!

Would be nice to see that huge parking lot under the bridge consolidated into a structured garage with a smaller footprint and maybe have an entertainment park/casual park with one part of it having a trail with a small pond(I mean something like a 30,000 gallon Coy pond or something) with a skate park and some other sporting activities there. Perhaps an outdoor archery range or something cool.

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but is the signage not going up under the roof overhang like in the rendering? I'm not saying I don't like it where it is, but I'm just a little confused. Is it going ground level on the east side, and up high on the west side?

If you look at the renderings in the article on top of the page, you'll see there will be a very similar sign mounted just below the illuminated roof.

Yes, the south elevation is the most visible and it's incredibly plain given all the design detail on the other three sides.
