Thunder 06-03-2010, 10:36 AM 'Golden Girl' Rue McClanahan Dies at 76 - Oklahoma City News Story - KOCO Oklahoma City (http://www.koco.com/news/23781114/detail.html)
The 3rd one gone.... Betty White is the last one standing.
This is totally a shock. :omg:
mireaux 06-03-2010, 11:24 AM pretty sad, but now with just betty white left, will NBC start a new spin-off series entitled: Golden Girl?
bandnerd 06-03-2010, 11:45 AM Not so much a shock--she suffered a stroke earlier this year. She wasn't all that young. Still sad, though. My mom knew her when my mom was a kid and Rue was a teenager. Not close, but they grew up in nearby towns and knew each other.
kevinpate 06-03-2010, 12:43 PM Betty White may still be here when we're all gone
Casey 06-03-2010, 03:34 PM Oh that`s so sad. The Golden Girls are epic.

Betty probably will make a run for 100 with her staying so active still.
MonkeesFan 06-03-2010, 06:01 PM I noticed that 3 of the girls died in a 2 year span:
Estelle-2008
Beatrice-2009
Rue-2010
I hope Betty does not die in 2011
It is ironic that Rue passed away from a stroke because in the eposide "Home Again, Rose", Rue said "What if Rose had a stroke?"
Thunder 06-03-2010, 10:21 PM MF, I was just thinking that. I am sure that Betty White is way more healthy than the other ladies.
Here is another article with interesting stories.

drum4no1 06-04-2010, 05:10 AM I hope we arent expecting them to repopulate the world...
metro 06-04-2010, 02:35 PM for those that didn't know, she was born in Oklahoma
fuzzytoad 06-04-2010, 02:38 PM for those that didn't know, she was born in Oklahoma
yeah, said that in the KOCO article linked in the first post..
It didn't say she graduated from Ardmore High School though
Thunder 06-04-2010, 05:31 PM I wonder if she was aware of the Devon Tower and multiple ongoing projects?
ronronnie1 06-12-2010, 03:37 AM I wonder if she was aware of the Devon Tower and multiple ongoing projects?
Is this a joke?
Thunder 06-12-2010, 05:11 AM Is this a joke?
It is not. She is from this state, are you aware of that?
I don't think she knew about all those upcoming projects, because if she did, surely she would have willed herself to live long enough to see them to their completion.
