i need help remembering what mexican restaurant chain (im pretty sure it is a chain restaurant, but could be mistaken) has the sopapillas that are coated in powered sugar and not the more common granulated sugar.

anyone know? or does anyone know of any mexican restaurant that serves them up this way?

they are so much better with powered sugar, imho.

if i remember correctly, alvarado's in edmond has them with powdered sugar. they're more of a wheat-based sopapilla, i think. you can also get them with a brandy butter sauce that is very tasty.

I thought El Chico had the powered but wouldn't swear to it.

I thought Cocina De Mino had the powdered sugar on it.
