Sad day for metalheads, Ronnie James Dio has passed away, he was 67.

I bacame a fan back when the little man with the big voice fronted Rainbow. Long Live Rock and Roll is still one of my favorite listens. Thought that his work with Sabbath was superb, solo work, Heaven and Hell, Elf, etc, he was a metal god.

I saw him at the LNC in 1984 on his maiden solo tour, I still prefer the Dio era Sabbath to the Ozzy era. Incredible voice and from everything that I have ever heard about him an incredible person as well.

Stomach cancer. What an awful way to go.
