Radar Love - Focus

Autobahn - Kraftwerk

Layla, the entire album, especially "Key to the Highway"

ditto Gen70's Allman Bros, especially "Live at Fillmore East"

Truckin' - Grateful Dead

almost anything by the Ventures from the '60s.

Like a Rollin' Stone - Dylan. When I play this on the CD I'm always singin' along at top volume...not a pretty sight. "and he says, "would you like to make a deeee-ullllllll!?"

I agree with Mrs. Robinson, but how can you get rid of Revolution? I also agree with Smoke on the Water ( a song concerning Frank Zappa & The Mothers) and House of the Rising Sun, no way I would want Dead Man's Curve or any other Jan & Dean tune on the list

One of my favorite cars was my Black '88 Mercury Cougar - Although I am a redneck country girl, I also like Bob Segar's Shame on the Moon When I'm running around with my sisters, we play Willie's On the Road Again and I like Lukenbach Texas (been there twice) once with sisters. Mrs. Robinson was on my list because I used to own several Alfa Romeos and liked the movie The Graduate.

Dead Man's Curve used to be on my list until I listened to it 11ty billion times (along with most of the "surfer" music). :LolLolLol

Quicksilver Messenger Service
New Riders of the Purple Sage
10 Years After
Jethro Tull
Savoy Brown
Cream
Vanilla Fudge
Moody Blues
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Pacific Gas & Electric
Velvet Underground
The Band
Blind Faith
The Chambers Brothers

I did not list a single tune from any of these groups because any song by them is great! Except the Chambers Brothers whose song Time Has Come Today is a classic.

As you can tell, I have lived a very sheltered life..............

My first car was a '59 Peugeot 403. Loved it. 4 on the tree, reclining seats
(if you had a few hours to kill) and a sun roof. I was very much into art
and I decorated the interior with colored Flair felt tip pens I kept in the
glove box. It was very psychedelic.

The sound system was a 4 track player. Super Session with Mike Bloomfield
and Al Kooper was played ad infinitum. Does anyone else know the 8 other
4 tracks that were available? There may have been as many as 9.

My dream car was a Lamborghini Contessa Quadraportte.

I bought an 8-track "jam" album in that store. It ws called "Spoonful of Blues" and every player from the '60s was on that tape. It was only released as an 8-track, never on vinyl, and I can't find any form of it now. It was great. There is a car lot at SW 29th and Lee. When I was in high school they sold bootleg tapes at a good price. I bought a Plastic Ono Band tape. It was the first time I heard "Working Class Hero" by John Lennon.

The two cars I loved were a 1978 Olds Cutless Supreme convertible. 442 engine. It was perfect for PapaOU; Red with white top and interior.

Second was a 1973 Fiat X-19! Man that car would move and was a pretty good chick magnet as well. Loved it until engine problems timing belt broke and I had to send to Italy for engine parts. Shipping was more than the items bought.
