It's been too long since I've had me a couple of dozen ... and I'm really not that familiar with the Okc options ... used to get some at Pearls on NW 63rd but haven't even been in its new diggs on Classen ...

Recommendations? Need them to be fresh, plump, and succulent. Nothing else matters.

When I was much younger, I could even imagine the prospect of putting something "slimy" in my mouth, much less savoring, enjoying and completely relishing it. Glad to say that mind-block passed away many years ago ... hard to beat some great oysters on the half shell ... but a properly broiled lobster tail might do it.

At one time on N. May there was a bar called (and I ain't making it up) called 4077th MASH and they shucked your oysters right in front of you. It actually had a helocopter on top of the bldg. and the motife inside was of course the same.

La Baguette in the Colcord has Oysters on Half Shell, and they are VERY tasty.

I saw some big juicy ones being shucked on the bartop at the new shack restaurant. On 63rd (the old spinozis location) the place is pretty cool and the owners are nolans. The place smells pleasently. I haven't passed mind block either, had ettoufe.

went to The Shack right after it opened. The oysters were very tasty. we also had the seafood platter, the crawfish ettoufe, and the jambalaya. All were very authentic and tasty! will be going back soon to try the lunch.
