There was a fire that was the result of what they are saying was a short in their neon sign. It caused significant damage to the second floor (offices and storage), but the main restaurant and kitchen areas are okay. We had friends who were eating there when it happened. Say smoke just started pouring out of a seam at the ceiling level. Everyone was evacuated (obviously). Apparently, in addition to the damage to the office as referenced in the Oklahoman article, there was also significant damage to the area that holds their liquor stores, in particular, their wines. "Flips owner Gail Vines said overnight security saw smoke at the restaurant after responding to movement on a motion detector shortly before 4 a.m." Your friends sure are story tellers! ;) FritterGirl 01-26-2010, 04:13 PM "Flips owner Gail Vines said overnight security saw smoke at the restaurant after responding to movement on a motion detector shortly before 4 a.m." Your friends sure are story tellers! ;) HAHA!
