Popsy 01-12-2010, 12:39 PM That was good PR for the Skirvin. They will probably get a bunch of reservations for "Ghost" hunters from across the country wanting to stay on the 10th floor. adaniel 01-12-2010, 01:13 PM A truly frightful night for big bad basketball players or a convienent excuse for a piss poor performance, hmmmm? If I get a poor performance review at work I'll say my computer is possessed by a demon that causes me to look at facebook all day. It is good PR though. Maybe TAPS, Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, Ghost Adventures,or any other cable TV show can come investigate. Heck, Hilton could even offer ghost tours themselves, they'll make a fortune! Kerry 01-12-2010, 01:35 PM That was good PR for the Skirvin. They will probably get a bunch of reservations for "Ghost" hunters from across the country wanting to stay on the 10th floor. I was thinking the exact same thing. That floor will be booked every night. I know if I stay there that is the floor I want. Dustin 01-12-2010, 10:12 PM Is anybody watching the news?! They wont stop talking about this! Every channel! kevinpate 01-12-2010, 10:28 PM this is off topic, sorry folks. and this is very random. but kevin do you have any scottish heritage or have u ever spent any time in scotland? Yes, or so the tale has been told over the years. No, never been. perhaps, some day. Larry OKC 01-13-2010, 01:45 AM Steve had this story... NewsOK (http://www.newsok.com/are-oklahoma-city-ghosts-to-blame-for-nba-knicks-loss/article/3431690?custom_click=lead_story_title) Bunty 01-13-2010, 02:45 AM I was thinking the exact same thing. That floor will be booked every night. I know if I stay there that is the floor I want. The Skirvin must me hurting for business since that basketball player said he was the only one who had a room on the 10th floor. Kerry 01-13-2010, 09:14 AM The Skirvin must me hurting for business since that basketball player said he was the only one who had a room on the 10th floor. They probably block off the rooms were the players are staying. My guess is the team rented two floors and they were the only ones on those floors even if they didn't use all the rooms. kevinpate 01-13-2010, 10:10 AM The Skirvin must me hurting for business since that basketball player said he was the only one who had a room on the 10th floor. Maybe he had his own floor cause he is who snored the worst, and the racket is what ticked off the ghost. :woowoo: kmf563 01-13-2010, 11:23 AM The knicks are a bunch of excuse making wusses. Even if it IS haunted so what? The hotel where they all stay in Milwaukee is haunted. Our Thunder stayed there and won the first, lost the second. They all tweet about it when they stay there and can't sleep. They never said that's why they lost the last game though. Every team that stays there has an experience. Other teams that have stayed at the Skirvin are scared as well but they never blame the ghosts on their performance! FritterGirl 01-27-2010, 03:12 PM Welll... looks like the Bulls are all skerrred now! Nick Friedell's Blog - Scare-a-Bull - ESPN Chicago (http://espn.go.com/chicago/columns/blog/_/post/4861614/name/friedell) Dustin 01-27-2010, 03:33 PM The Ghost Lab people on the Discovery Channel need to do an episode at the Skirvin. That would be fun to watch! UnFrSaKn 01-27-2010, 03:47 PM Ghost Lab, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Paranormal State, Paranormal Cops... jbrown84 01-27-2010, 09:49 PM If I get a poor performance review at work I'll say my computer is possessed by a demon that causes me to look at facebook all day. :lol2::dizzy: bahahahahahahaha this had me rolling! Steve 01-27-2010, 10:09 PM True story: a cable channel show wants to fly me to L.A. to shoot an episode about the Skirvin and the ghost stories. Comments? Doug Loudenback 01-27-2010, 10:12 PM Take me with you, please. Steve 01-27-2010, 10:54 PM I think I'll let you do it and I'll stay here. Not interested in going to L.A. And, ahem, left a message for you on your phone and you don't call me back, but you're clearly awake and posting here at OKC Talk. How sad. And to think I gave you some props today in OKC Biz. kevinpate 01-28-2010, 07:08 AM Wow Steve, first we gots Kerry saying he'd be likely fake a hair washing crisis to decline a State of the Union invite from the Obamas, and now you wanna decline a staring role on a cable show about a haunted hotel, one which you've written a book about. Sheeesh, what's it gonna take to get somebody at OKCTalk to wanna accept an invite somewhere? :LolLolLol Steve 01-28-2010, 09:37 AM Free milk and cookies? kevinpate 01-28-2010, 09:41 AM Free milk and cookies? LOL, go do the story then. I still know folks active with Girl Scouts. I'll get ya some freakin' cookies and milk. |
