Martin 01-10-2010, 12:52 PM went about a month or so ago for weekday lunch and it was good! -M PennyQuilts 01-10-2010, 12:52 PM The parking lot was full on Friday which is generally a good sign. tburn 01-11-2010, 10:11 AM I've never been disappointed. Flip's is one of my favorites and a must visit when we have guests from out of town. foodiefan 01-11-2010, 01:23 PM Thanks all!! nik4411 01-11-2010, 01:28 PM what is Flip's? PennyQuilts 01-11-2010, 02:09 PM what is Flip's? Restaurant on Grand and Western. It has been there a long time and was always a favorite haunt when I lived near there. OKCMallen 01-11-2010, 02:23 PM The food is good. The service is often weird. People sometimes won't greet you and the servers huddle around talking, which makes you feel uncomfortable when you come in...but if you get beyond that, you'll enjoy the food. IMO- the servers are just a little *too* alternative and cool for school, but I had exemplary service Saturday (after the awkwardness of walking in). I've been more times than I can count and I still feel awkward sometimes when I walk in the joint. Try the italian nachos (I think the marinara is awesome) and the tiramisu is a great dessert. The place has a real European look to it, and the customers are really an eclectic bunch. And what Italian Restaurant worth there weight in red sauce would not put garlic in their alfredo sauce? Surley servers too! |
