When UT scores a touchdown, the band plays "The Eyes of Texas" and near the conclusion of the song, the crowd belts out a loud "OU SUCKS!" Its nothing official, but they do it every game, and I'm almost certain I heard it yelled when UT first scored in the Rose Bowl.

Right. I have heard that before myself, but it's not in the fight song lyrics as bluedogok insinuated.

I have never actually "read" the lyric, why the hell would I want to....that is what a Whorn co-worker told me when we were having a discussion about "fight songs" and why A&M was in it, they he threw in there that OU is in it as well. A&M also has a phrase about UT in their fight song from what I have been told. I made the analogy that it gives your "enemy" more credence when you actually include them in your fight song...then all of them down have stupid hand signs as well...I guess all that stuff is a "Texas thang"

well since this thread is sort of all around college football talk, what do you all think of pete carroll taking off for seattle? and lane kiffin leaving tennessee after only a year to take over at usc?

I agree about Bama...they will be a power for the next few years now.

As for your questions: I think Pete is getting out of USC just in time...before they go on probation. I think lane Kiffin is a bad hire for USC, he's had some drama of his own while at UT....thats the last thing USC needs right now. But speaking of bad hires.....I can't believe that Tennessee is thinking about hiring Derek Dooley (now at La Tech). Carroll seems to be making the only wise choice out of the bunch.
