Film Exchange to be feature of Lego City and Host to OK CityScape!
By Bradley Wynn

Located inside Penn Square Mall Nov. 14, 2009, to Jan. 3, 2010, OK CityScape is a captivating and interactive holiday attraction to raise operating funds for Oklahoma City Educare.

Using more than 1,000,000 construction toys, OK CityScape is sure to capture the imagination of the young and young-at-heart alike. The exhibit is built at a child's eye level and shows engaging street scenes in Oklahoma City and Bricktown, incorporating moving elements and sounds. After viewing the displays, children are encouraged to build their own creations in the Kids' Construction Zone.

Next year this amazing construct will be hosted on the 2nd floor of the Film Exchange building in the heart of the Oklahoma City Film Exchange District! Sponsors for this event will be Film Exchange Row, LLC and Claims Management Resources, both of which will further be featured in the "Lego City". OK CityScape will also house their new offices in the same space for at least the next five years.

This is a great opportunity to bring further support for OKC Educare, a collaboration of Oklahoma leaders and organizations that will serve 200 at-risk children, prenatal to five years old, with year-round educational programs and developmental childcare. In addition to serving children enrolled in the program, family support staff will also ensure that pregnant women and newborns receive health services.

OK CityScape will occupy the 2nd floor of the Film Exchange building, once home to numerous film studio offices and a Simplex screening room. The exhibit will further be enhanced with natural lighting from two enormous skylights in the roof above the second story. It is believed that these recently restored skylights, were constructed by the US War Food Administration in the 1940’s for grading cotton.

The collection of historic buildings along Film Row and their connection to the 'movie magic' of yesteryear make them an ideal destination point for such events and sponsors. Tourists are also frequenting the area more and more to catch a glimpse of this preserved downtown legacy, allowing for venues such as OK CityScape to thrive, while keeping the memories of our unique Hollywood connection alive in their cameras and action!
