J - The Jeanery at NW 23rd & Classen at the old Records Inc site.
The Jeanery was on the south end of the shopping center and
Records, Inc was on the north. Spent most of my income at
Records, Inc and Wilcox's.

Dooley's Club in the basement of the Classen Tower behind the bank. I
gigged there quite a lot as did most of the old time jazzers in town.

I saw Wall of Voodoo, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joe King Carrasco, The Call and several others there.

Someone skipped "C"

Cock O' The Walk. Yeah, I know it's still there, but if it's old enough for my Grandfather to have been a patron, it's old enough for this thread.

E - Eddies Past Time. Just off of Walker on SW 24th. When there were more snooker and regulation pool tables around. Until recently the 7 Up sign for the place was still there. Wish I had inquired about getting it before...................

Yes, Fretwell's was a Jaguar and Volvo dealer at the end, they had the British Leyland line (MG/Rover/Triumph) before it's demise at the hands of the English gov't.

Post number 112 was exactly the same. The least we can do is use the Jeans West in DT Capitol Hill in the old Waintroob's spot at 204 or somesuch W Commerce.
