I loved the Rocket Skating Rink, was there at least once a week. The little park across the street is where---never mind, I don't want to incriminate myself.

Me Too!!!!!! To answer your question, I beat you to it.....But, I'll share. I have NEVER been good with hand tools etc. But I would ride my bike over there and just stare at all the Neat "Junk" that was in that building. As I grew older if I decided to attempt to "tackle" a household job that was the ONLY place I would go. And even with the "Silly" descriptions for what I was looking for...they would come up the right item......Do you remember Sam's Surplus Store when you could buy any WWII item you would want.....?????

R - Red Goose Shoe Store, all over. Remember Mr. Stoneman on Foreman Scotty, showing a cutaway view of the shoe and defining "perpendicular"?

(Jingle) Half the fun of having feet is Red Goose Shoes!

The only Sanchez girl I knew of was Gloria Sanchez I dated her briefly, and she was a "looker" One of our dates was at her parents resturant.

Gloria graduated with me from CHHS and her personality was beautiful too. She is on our lost list. We would love to find her.

P - Para-Dice Parachute Center. Made my 6 static lines and first two freefalls there when it was located south of Noble in '78. It later relocated to Goldsby after about 4 years in Cushing. OK. technically not in greater OKC unless you expand the boundary about 3 miles south.

Paradise - Sneaked off to tandem skydive there one Saturday when I turned 55 eight years ago. My girlfriend and I did that and nobody knew where we were. We were supposed to be at garage sales.

Okay, I'm going to challenge this one. I remember Smith-Griders but I don't
remember Grider's.

Get to it southsiders, especially the really, really, really, really really, really
old southsiders like Gen64 and Carltonskeeper. I'd say Tall Girl but I don't
want to get whacked up the side of my head.

At any rate, is Grider's legit?

That's OK, PP, I know I am one of the oldest I have seen up there. Griders is legit. 29th & S. May

It was a cheap grocery store. Husband thinks it was on South Portland but I wouldn't swear to that.

Penny - Big Giant Warehouse was on S. Portland. There was a Big Giant out front and he was there for years and years. I don't think he is still there. He was really looking bad last time I seen him.

I should have read further down. Gen64 covered Griders and Big Giant very well.
