USG '60 04-11-2010, 12:31 PM Man, I go out of town for a week and you all slack off on this thread!
I ate jambalya and red beans and rice - guess where I went?
Quebec? :elmer3::busterbun Wanna eat some dead wabbit?

OMG!! One of my favorites. Bobby Keys on horn, Keltner and Gordon (both Jims, I think) as drummers. Cocker and Russell, together - I think I watched that movie 5-6 tmes. I had the vinyl, but no idea where it ended up when I went into AF. Joe was a young guy - early 20's? Their duet - can't remember the song but I think one of Dylan's - made me cry with the beauty of the blend.
Thanks for trip down memory lane. Wow - I almost felt like a teenager again, smoking a doob and chillin'.
Back to the real world - who is that old lady - crap, it's a mirror.

Know exactly what you mean. I gave all my vinyl to my kids for posterity. Had some pretty rare stuff (Original Sgt Peppers - excellent cond, Days of Future Past - exc. cond., Wheels of Fire - exc., etc.) including an 8-track called "Spoonful of Blues" that was a jam recording from about 1968, never put on vinyl, can't find any form of it even listed now. I think it was a bootleg that the little tape store at Linwood and Virginia put together.
Anyway, I get up every morning and shave that ugly old man that I see in the mirror and wonder what happened to the young stud (in my mind, anyway) that used to be there.

lange=long leve=live traden=thread. ...and i didnt even google. just look at the words, it isnt hard to figure out. peeps kept coming up with "wire", cause thats close to "thread", but since "thread" in the internet sense is somewhat of a slang, its probably not used internationally abroad.
USG '60 04-29-2010, 06:36 PM In Russian they use the same word for motor oil that they use for butter. THAT is worrisome. :ohno:
