Yes, you are right about the one on 44th St. But, the first McDonalds in OKC was located on S.W. 29th between May and Agnew....South side of the street and the Grand Opening was in 1961....The Roosevelt Band Played for the Grand Opening.....Burgers were 11 Cents and Cheeseburger was 15 cents.....

Penn, used to be "Ginny's Pub." Gen70 probably remembers Ginny's, I know I spent toooooo much time there. LOL

I also miss the Taco Tico restraunt that was on 59th and Youngs, that still is
my favorite chain taco place, sadly the only one left that I know of is in
Shawnee

part of one burger and thought I was going to die! Wouldn't eat there again

The first Kawasaki Dealer in OKC was located at about 57th and Shields....Al Levine owned the dealership.....Al was one of the original Levine's of the Levine Department store in Capitol Hill.....TG&Y Contracted with him to sell the Kawasaki Bikes and we did a pretty good job. Then, Kawasaki began to grow and there were about 6 or 7 Dealers in the OKC metro....The name was "Cycle Wolrld"....remember them USG60???

There was a Jandebeur Cycle at 2600 S. Robinson. Has an ad in the 1972 Chieftain yearbook. According to American Motorcycling, Nov. 1966, Jandebeur had 5 stores in Okc and Tulsa. I know the dealership on Robinson burned but don't remember the year. The slab has been vacant even to this day.....
