This place is right around my way and just wondering if anyone has been there? Its on NW corner of 23rd and Penn, they have occupied the building that was originally built for a starbucks. Any info on this Golden Chick joint?

They are all over down here in Central Texas, I am not much of a fried chicken fan but my wife likes them. Not as much as Chicken Express though.

We have one in Midwest City and I really enjoy it. The price might seem high at first, but you really do get quite a bit of food. They have good chicken tenders and yeast rolls. I enjoy their food, and they have really good sweet tea as well.

My short little rant about the MWC store - Careful, because they don't let you use tenders as anything in the "bucket" type meal. We asked for that the first time we went and didn't konw they wouldn't do that. Instead of saying anything, they just gave us regular chicken. We went back and asked them about it and the manager went psycho and was incredibly rude. She actually said "im running a business trying to make money here". As though it was our fault that the employee didn't say they can't do that. And it's my fault she has to throw it out because it went through the window into my car. I was just amazed at how rude she was...i couldn't believe I was hearing her be so rude and loud.
The food is good, just don't go back and ask them to fix anything. You don't want them to be responsible for their mistakes or anything.

Yes, Rex's was the best chicken place ever. Still wish there were some of them around. Their chicken was great and the fried bread, or whatever it was, was incredible.

Dear Lord Rex's was good. After they all closed in OKC, they had ONE left at the Ballard's Drive-in in Pauls Valley...
