How long after a clip does it normally take before they regrow flight feathers? At what age do they usually begin speaking? We have a 3 month old one.

I wouldn't expect it to talk until at least 9 months, maybe longer. Work with it as much as you can to encourage speech.

I don't clip wings, so don't know how long it will take the feathers to grow back.

Pining for the fjords?

I actually just recently gave my African Grey up for adoption after 9 years... had him since he was hatched. I cannot offer specifics, but as for the wings, I'd guess it took around 4-5 months for his wings to regrow to the point that they needed to be clipped again, and as for speech, I do not remember it taking him 8 or 9 months before he began to say simple things.. maybe around 5 months? Again, I am not positive, but that seems about right.
