Is the east crane starting to come down? The top arm just shifted downward to a 45 degree angle, like the west crane before it started descending.

G.Walker 02-10-2012, 04:28 PM Is the east crane starting to come down? The top arm just shifted downward to a 45 degree angle, like the west crane before it started descending. G.Walker 02-10-2012, 04:34 PM nevermind its back up BB37 02-10-2012, 04:35 PM I don't think so. FWIW, I just noticed the West crane is almost gone. As of about 30 minutes ago, there was a crawler crane onsite, and boom of the west crane was just a few feet above the top of the crawler crane. They may have the boom disassembled by tomorrow morning. UnFrSaKn 02-10-2012, 04:42 PM Cold... windy... all week... All I wanna do after work is go straight home to the space heater. Pete 02-11-2012, 09:35 AM Wow, in Kayne's first photo you can see they have almost all the glass up on the east triangle now. That was fast! It seems they are really hustling to finish the crown and get the east crane down as well. http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/devon21011.jpg UnFrSaKn 02-11-2012, 02:36 PM I noticed that too. I am sooooo proud of a very close relative that has been a huge part of this from day one. He has endured such long days, weekends, and struggles and look at the end results! Just saying, so proud! kbsooner 02-11-2012, 08:47 PM Cannot wait for the LEDs. I'm too lazy to search for it, but has an illustration of what the LEDs will look like or where they are located on the structure been posted? Bellaboo 02-11-2012, 09:36 PM I'm too lazy to search for it, but has an illustration of what the LEDs will look like or where they are located on the structure been posted? The crown and up the 3 indentions from the base to the top. mrktguy29 02-11-2012, 09:44 PM Hope this helps: http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l527/mrktguy29/Devon%20Gif/DevonDayAndNight.gif On second look at this, I notice where they show the LED at night but no attempt at the reflection from the sides of the indention. I think we'll get to see it soon enough. kbsooner 02-11-2012, 09:45 PM The crown and up the 3 indentions from the base to the top. Thanks! MDot 02-11-2012, 10:35 PM I know a lot of people say having power lines downtown adds character but after seeing the edited version of that picture I think it would look better without the power lines. Thundercitizen 02-11-2012, 10:48 PM Nice shots! Decided to have some fun with Photoshop! Swear...I thought about doing the same thing. In my opinion, overhead power, while not adding as much to costs, only adds clutter to the skyline/streetscape. Teo9969 02-11-2012, 11:01 PM We all know where the lights will be...pretty sure they will not look as boring as they do in that GIF. HOT ROD 02-14-2012, 04:22 AM sweet, Devon will (??) have red collision beacons. .. I think more OKC skyscrapers need them, notably SandRidge, City Place, and Leadership Square. Even if you don't light up the building, those beacons on top really ADD significantly to the skyline at night. .. (See Seattle skyline if you dont believe me). corpsman 02-14-2012, 11:12 AM Imagine my surprise around 10 this AM to see an incredibly beautiful, otherworldly silver triangle shimmering suspended in mid-air and imbedded in the lifting fog over westbound I-40. The sunlight reflecting off the top of the east side of Devon's new building left me with an impression I'll not soon forget!! Wish I had had a camera and photographic talent. kbsooner 02-14-2012, 10:08 PM Imagine my surprise around 10 this AM to see an incredibly beautiful, otherworldly silver triangle shimmering suspended in mid-air and imbedded in the lifting fog over westbound I-40. The sunlight reflecting off the top of the east side of Devon's new building left me with an impression I'll not soon forget!! Wish I had had a camera and photographic talent. I really wish I had something other than my phone, but here they are... It was much more spectacular in person, the wind was wrapping the fog around the building... It looked like the building was erased from the skyline!
