Pete 12-21-2011, 03:16 PM Here's a bigger sized image of the auditorium rendering: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/devonaud1.jpg dmoor82 12-21-2011, 03:16 PM @MDot,LOL,but with how small the avatar pic is,the tower blends in with the city and the sky,You can barely see it!I think I may use it as my wallpaper for my pc. MDot 12-21-2011, 03:20 PM NVM, Pete got it. Just the facts 12-21-2011, 03:22 PM So based on that rendering the yellow bars and the space behind them will be open to the elements? MDot 12-21-2011, 03:22 PM @MDot,LOL,but with how small the avatar pic is,the tower blends in with the city and the sky,You can barely see it!I think I may use it as my wallpaper for my pc. That's what I'm going to do. dmoor82 12-21-2011, 03:24 PM Pete,I know that the three indentions will all have LED lighting, but will all three triangles of the crown have LED's? Pete 12-21-2011, 03:25 PM My understanding is there is going to be a ton of LED lighting through the crown, not just the triangles or indentions. dmoor82 12-21-2011, 04:55 PM Found this on Flickr, photo by:The Developing Tank.http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6157/6176112564_8ed34c9569_z.jpg bluedogok 12-21-2011, 08:54 PM Love the Sig club - been a few years since I was last there, but that is a fun place ! I recommend the Drake Hotel, nearby as well. The Drake is where we stayed on our honeymoon. BoulderSooner 12-22-2011, 07:05 AM So based on that rendering the yellow bars and the space behind them will be open to the elements? no i don't know how you would come up with that idea from that pic .. I have been talking to my lady about it for a while and she finally agreed as long as the reception is at the Colcord or Skirvin. You can fit a ton of folks in there and it'd be awesome to have people on the upper floors looking down. Pete 12-22-2011, 09:43 AM ed, I'm sure you'll be able to rent it out for after-hours events. Leadership Square does it with their atrium all the time. edcrunk 12-22-2011, 12:18 PM That would be so awesome. Thunder 12-22-2011, 12:31 PM I wonder if I can have my wedding in the rotunda? You can fit a ton of folks in there and it'd be awesome to have people on the upper floors looking down. If you can make it that you be the first one to get married, be sure to post the info on here and invite the photographers from here to document Devon's first wedding to post on here. catch22 12-22-2011, 03:17 PM Yesterday (click for larger versions): http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5061/img0023bo.th.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/62/img0023bo.jpg/) http://img861.imageshack.us/img861/7467/img0022ky.th.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/861/img0022ky.jpg/) http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/108/img0021awi.th.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/195/img0021awi.jpg/) http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/2549/img0017my.th.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/600/img0017my.jpg/) MDot 12-23-2011, 08:18 PM They had all the glass put in where the construction elevators were as of 3:45 this afternoon. dmoor82 12-23-2011, 08:25 PM There is now a Devon Tower in Calgary,AB Canada, formaly the Canterra Tower, the 46 story skyscraper was renamed by Devon's parent company Devon Canada.http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=devon%20tower%20in%20oklahoma%20city&source=newssearch&cd=2&ved=0CDQQqQIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calgaryherald.com%2Fbusiness% 2FCanterra%2BTower%2Brenamed%2Bafter%2Btenant%2BDe von%2F5835275%2Fstory.html&ei=vTb1TrPPAYH3sQLi_fmpAQ&usg=AFQjCNFKhK119YO8XmWNsZkZCYxE6EzKTw dmoor82 12-23-2011, 08:28 PM The Devon Tower in Calgary http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/61/Canterra_1.jpg/150px-Canterra_1.jpg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Canterra_1.jpg) MDot 12-23-2011, 08:49 PM There is now a Devon Tower in Calgary,AB Canada, formaly the Canterra Tower, the 46 story skyscraper was renamed by Devon's parent company Devon Canada.http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=devon%20tower%20in%20oklahoma%20city&source=newssearch&cd=2&ved=0CDQQqQIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calgaryherald.com%2Fbusiness% 2FCanterra%2BTower%2Brenamed%2Bafter%2Btenant%2BDe von%2F5835275%2Fstory.html&ei=vTb1TrPPAYH3sQLi_fmpAQ&usg=AFQjCNFKhK119YO8XmWNsZkZCYxE6EzKTw The story of Devon Canada is very very similiar to the story of Devon Energy. Weird. catch22 12-23-2011, 08:53 PM It's Devon's Canadian branch, IIRC. dmoor82 12-23-2011, 08:56 PM ^^Yea guy's I said that in my post and it's also in the link. Not a big deal,I just thought it was cool I guess. MDot 12-23-2011, 11:13 PM ^^Yea guy's I said that in my post and it's also in the link. Not a big deal,I just thought it was cool I guess. For those of us who read your post and the link, we know. LOL and it is cool; there's a Devon Tower in Oklahoma City, a Devon Tower (apartments) in Pittsburgh, and now a Devon Tower in Calgary. There's another Devon Tower in Houston but it's called Devon Energy Tower (same difference); but for the record, I believe our Devon Tower's official name is Devon Energy Center. It's Devon's Canadian branch, IIRC. I read that part of the article wrong, I thought it was Devon Canada that was spread out through 3 different buildings in Calgary before moving into the Canterra (Devon) Tower but it was Canterra and they built the tower to fit all the employees under 1 roof. Still ironically similar though. LOL Merry Christmas to the both of you. =) UnFrSaKn 12-24-2011, 11:59 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuYPBW-_WAk&hd=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuYPBW-_WAk&hd=1 dankrutka 12-24-2011, 01:07 PM Url? Thanks again, KD. Pete 12-27-2011, 11:06 AM Imagine that shot with the tower all lit up in Thunder colors! We'll for sure be seeing that later in the season. edcrunk 12-27-2011, 02:15 PM I wish we could "like" people's posts. Bellaboo 12-27-2011, 03:09 PM Is Cheseapeake Arena photoshopped in that picture to leave out the construction on the southside of the arena? I don't think so, if you look real close on the sw corner, you can make out an elevator shaft...it's a bit lighter in color and partially covers the second window left to right. Dustin 12-27-2011, 03:09 PM Is Cheseapeake Arena photoshopped in that picture to leave out the construction on the southside of the arena? It's there. Hard to see though. You can right click, view image to make it bigger. Snowman 12-27-2011, 03:12 PM Is Cheseapeake Arena photoshopped in that picture to leave out the construction on the southside of the arena? It looks like it is in their, since the shots of the arenas are not impacted by the contract agreement for scheduling they might have been done before filming the players so could also have been earlier in construction. Urbanized 12-27-2011, 03:24 PM Is Cheseapeake Arena photoshopped in that picture to leave out the construction on the southside of the arena? Doesn't appear to be. Watching in HD you can see the mobile cranes and the steel girder skeleton of the new entrance. They are completely in the shadows though, which could be a post-production effect. Unfortunate for Chesapeake that the sign on the arena also wasn't lit in the shot. Looks like perhaps the same for Staples, but the American Airlines logo was lit up on the AAC, so doesn't appear that the logos were darkened on purpose. dmoor82 12-27-2011, 03:25 PM ^^Notice that the Crosses arent up either! That would make it late November or early December!Infact,it was probably done the same time KD did his paint the town Nike ad. MDot 12-27-2011, 03:32 PM Infact,it was probably done the same time KD did his paint the town Nike ad. It was, my brother-in-law worked on both of them and he was telling us about working on both commercials at the same time. Urbanized 12-27-2011, 03:37 PM It would have been filmed at the same time that the KD-only commercial from that same Nike "Spotlight" campaign was. Darnell Mayberry reported on the details of that commercial in late October (which made KD a little grouchy on Twitter), and it broke the first of November. So filming was probably done in August or September. I think there is some info out there regarding exactly WHEN, but I'm too lazy to seek it out. Urbanized 12-27-2011, 03:38 PM Geez.
