Pete 10-29-2011, 11:09 AM Kayne, I love this skyline perspective (I cropped one of your photos): http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/skyline102911.jpg KayneMo 10-30-2011, 12:08 AM It will be interesting to see what that view will look like in the foreground when they redo that portion of Broadway Extension! Yes it will be interesting! Will that portion of the freeway be widened? KayneMo 10-30-2011, 12:08 AM That's a very nice viewpoint. It almost looks like you were riding the rails when you took it. Great job! Thank you! KayneMo 10-30-2011, 12:09 AM Kayne, I love this skyline perspective (I cropped one of your photos): http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/skyline102911.jpg Thanks, Pete! It's probably my favorite perspective of the city as well! MDot 10-30-2011, 12:10 AM This is the first I've heard on the Broadway Extension. I wonder why I'm always the last to know when it comes to highways and roads... Snowman 10-30-2011, 08:31 AM This is the first I've heard on the Broadway Extension. I wonder why I'm always the last to know when it comes to highways and roads... It is part of the same project has been widening Broadway Extension north of i44 and south of 36th over the past 15-ish years, the last part does the i44 junction and the last strip of 4 lane between the junction and 36th. See, now I just look like I'm retarded cause I've been driving the Broadway Extension for 15 years and never knew the plan besides they were doing something constantly. Lol but thank you snowman, now I feel like I'm part of the crowd again. Lol OKCisOK4me 10-30-2011, 05:07 PM Saw a dude out last night and his costume was the.Devon tower. Took him 20 hours to complete! Was his child dressed as a white van? OKCisOK4me 10-30-2011, 09:31 PM Was his child dressed as a white van? Yeah, no, this was at Dan O'Briens...21 to enter. His friend had a coke can on his head so I guess that meant he was a cokehead, lol. Thunder 10-30-2011, 11:31 PM I just went all the way out SE OKC to a 24-Hour CVS Pharmacy to pick up a med. Drove back on 44th, stop at McD to get something at Shields intersection, then went north toward 23rd. Not planned...same street...same location, so I stopped for some night pictures. These are regular and enhanced, two of each. I just hate street lights glare. Hopefully the next smartphone won't do that. It'll be at least one to two years before I upgrade again. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-27-51_org.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-27-51.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-29-56_org.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-29-56.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-30-10_org.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-30-10.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/2011-10-30223246.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/2011-10-30223259.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-33-22_org.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-33-22.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-34-04_org.jpg http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/thunderokc/Devon/C360_2011-10-3022-34-04.jpg Just the facts 10-31-2011, 09:09 AM Is that blue light on Chesapeak Arena? on edit - never mind, I see in the other thread that it is. Very cool. Pete 10-31-2011, 10:09 AM We really need the other downtown towers to step it up in terms of lighting, especially when Devon unleashes it's megawatt light show in combination with the Myriad Gardens and the arena. Chase Tower in particular needs to do something to move it out of the mid-70's. MDot 10-31-2011, 12:10 PM Are they done with fire proofing the crown yet? Does anyone know for sure? Dulahey 10-31-2011, 06:19 PM During the Sunday Night Football game last night, I noticed the skyline of Philadelphia when they showed it. Most of their towers just had a little strip of LED lighting around the top of each of them. Similar to how you put Christmas lights around the edge of your roof. It was nice looking and something that would be easy to install. Lol I'm sure they will be dusty from either laying in a warehouse for a couple of months and/or laying on a tower floor before being installed. The inside glass will especially be dusty from all the work going on inside. Plus, the lower levels have been installed over a year and haven't had any regular cleaning. We had pix from a crane above but Devon demanded those pix to be removed....even tho they do not own the pix. Urbanized 11-03-2011, 11:43 AM No, they contracted the company who contracted the crane company who employed the crane operator who posted the photo that he took on company time while working on a closed jobsite. Same difference. OKCisOK4me 11-03-2011, 11:54 AM Yeah, they been bad sometime. We had pix from a crane above but Devon demanded those pix to be removed....even tho they do not own the pix. The pics I posted had to be taken down? Wow... At least I have access to them. Rover 11-03-2011, 12:28 PM I don't think many on here understand the basic premise of private vs. public. We nave no "rights" to things Devon controls and they are not being unreasonable to withhold permissions...in fact they are being responsible and prudent. They have MASSIVE liability issues and you never know how any picture, video, etc. taken on the property may be used in the future should any incident occur. It is easy to criticize them, but people need to walk in their shoes. People need to grow up on here and understand what the real world of business is like. Public access to floorplans is far more damaging than posting a view from 1,000 feet in the air.
