I have fricking swine flu and it is PISSING ME OFF. My nose hurts from the kleenex, my throat hurts and my eyes itch. And now, I have to go infect people because I have to go to court (for work). I am torn between being a walking petri dish vs. risking jail for not showing up.

I hate it when people do this to the rest of us. And now, I am one of the bad guys. I can't skip court because there are witnesses coming in from out of state (not MY witnesses) and they would rather get this damned swine flu than waste many thousands of dollars rescheduling.

No, they aren't doing that in Virginia, now. There were for awhile. They've put out press releases that the regular flu isn't here so if you have the flu, you have the swine flu. I hope it is just a bad summer cold but I've got most of the flu symptoms, dang it.

Whether you have swine flu or not....whatever it is I hope you feel better soon. It really sucks that you cant take a few days off. Best wishes for a speed recovery!!!!!

Don't assume anything unless you get tested. There are still plenty of general-nuisance colds, sniffles, coughs, and other bugs that'll make you miserable without it having to be swine flu...

I don't really think it is the flu. But it sure is miserable.

I'll do it - thanks. I am so miserable that I am making everyone around me miserable. More so than usual, even.

ECO...get well soon. If you're not already doing it, take a lot of Vitamin C (roughly 1000mg a day) and drink lots of orange juice. Sometimes it's the most common things we forget to do.

I did forget the OJ. I have been too busy concentrating on trying to breathe...

I didn't have court, today, so I went out and got a pedicure. THAT's how much better I feel! Whew! Sure feels good feeling good again.
