Ho Ho came to my birthday when I was 10 or so. He put clown paint on me
and let me where his famous 'Golf' jacket. The one he wore all the time with
18 holes in it!

hmm i was turning 8 years old, my sister took me for a surprise birthday outing, we went to molly murphys then to the brand new celebration station we played games and mini golf, go carts all the way to close, then the next day she topped it off with a 89ers game..20 years later she still is the best sister a brother could ask for..

Yay, Ho-Ho! I saw Bill "Pokey the Puppet" Howard this past weekend at my aunt's birthday party & there was lots of discussion about Ho-Ho.

My sister is almost 9yrs older than me and once she turned 16, she started taking me out on my birthday every year. We had a tradition for quite a few years consisting of dinner at Olive Garden (back then if it was your birthday they'd bring you an individual birthday cake) and a Tom Hanks movie...Big, The 'Burbs, Joe vs. the Volcano. I always thought it was so cool that I was getting to hang out with my big sister & go to what I thought was a fancy grown up restaurant (I was like 8yrs old, OG was super fancy to me then lol) and a late movie.

After we reached a certain age Mom would take us out to dinner and then a movie of our choice. Went to Herman's on my 12Th birthday and then to see the film "A Man for All Seasons," she was stunned at the movie selection. Concern the relationship between Henry VIII and Sir/St. Thomas More concerning More's objection to Henry divorcing his second wife to marry a third time. More was beheaded and Henry's demands led to the split between England and the Catholic Church which was the beginning of the Church of England.
She still can't believe to this day that I knew what was going on!!

My granddaughter plays catcher on her school softball team. After one game I asked her what her problem was not being able to get a throw to second base?
It was falling about 5 or 6 feet short.

Her explanation was that her shoulder was popping as her arm moved forward.

Asked her if she was doing anything different or had hurt her shoulder in any manner. She said no. Her theory:

"I guess I am just getting older"

She will be 14 in Jan.............:ohno:

How about spending part of the night at the ok county jail?

16th birthday, an Easter Sunday spent at Springlake......

The infamous day.

My friend, his pregnant wife, and I were the last whites leaving the park turnstiles.....

Wham!! I got suckered punched on the right side of my face....

Grabbed Vicky and pushed her through but we all three became separated.

I made it to the car and waited on them as all hell broke loose.

People, cops, and K-9's running free all over the parking lot.

Knock on my driver door window and there stood this big black dude. Gasp!

It was one of the many black friends I had at school. He wanted in for his own safety.

I took the kid home and went on myself to wait by the phone.

Johnnie had been "cut" several times and taken to the hospital and his wife was with him.

Not in any real danger they sewed him up and sent him on his way.

Not with me. The cops took him and his wife to the county jail to see if they could i.d. anybody. No luck.

Got home at 7:30 am. Cleaned-up and went and took my drivers test.

Don't think I will ever forget that birthday...................:sofa:

My absolute most memorable birthday was my 55th Senior Citizen B-day. My girlfriend took me down to Paradise Sport Parachute Center and I tandem skydived. 10 year anniversary coming up, might have to do it again when I'm 65!!!!!
