evh5150 08-12-2009, 06:46 PM anyone else remember this place about 20 years ago? I cant even exactly recall where it was located at precisely? I know it was off of I-35 somewhere north of crossroads mall.
I want to say its on the east side of the highway somewhere close to 25th/29th street exit? is that right? what stands in its present place now?
The go karts were fun, and they always had the coolest arcade games too.
Below is an ad from March 1985.
It was just east of I-35 at 5016 N. Prospect. I believe there used to be an exit right there at SW 51st street before they widened the freeway.
On that site now (or at least a good part of it) is Frontier State Bank.

gen70 08-13-2009, 09:42 AM I remember the place..had one of their picture ID's in my billfold for along time.
It was right next to Family Fun Park at I-35 and 51st.
Before they widened I-35, I saw a drunk guy drive down the embankment, across all 4 lanes of interstate, and up the other side before he hit a car parked in the old Levitz parking lot.
decepticobra 05-31-2010, 11:00 PM i really wish they would bring this place back. i still remember their indoor video arcade, and my jaw dropping to the floor at how magnificent the graphics looked on the RoboCop video arcade game.
man, how computer graphics have advanced since 1988. lol.
MikeOKC 05-31-2010, 11:03 PM Used to be an old Go-Kart track and arcade games down on south MacArthur. I can't remember the name of it. Anyone?

Me to, if I remember correctly, it was just called, MacArthur Park Speedway. They still have monthly go cart races there.

No kidding? I had no idea it was still there. I remember it being in the middle of nowhere, probably not so much anymore?

bunchakids 06-03-2010, 03:29 PM Went there all the time as a kid as well. That big yellow water slide was called the slippery banana or something like that. Remember playing Space Ace and Dragons Lair there...two of the coolest games of that time.
