Hard to choose .... we had a lot of good ones.

Short but sweet:

Star Trek - simply fantastic - Favorite Movie of the Year

The Hangover.. loved it.. funny, surprising, huge lol moments

State of Play - gripping, edge of your seat movie watching at it's best

Up - incredible story and visual effects

Ice Age in 3D - again great movie w awesome visual/special effects

Away we Go - wonderful movie

Moon - awesome performance by Sam

I Love You Man - funny, cute, entertaining

Bruno - eh, a few hilarious scenes but surprisingly too much/ went too far for my tastes

Adventureland - forgettable - not what I was expecting

Terminator - mesmorizing but I was missing Arnold

Transformers - a lot of action, convoluted plot, didn't connect with characters

Overall, it was an enjoyable year for movies.

The only one on that list I've seen is Up.

And it was a great movie. Of course Pixar has a knack for that.
