Welcome. If you can clarify what type of food, experience and price range you are looking for we can better help you.

Another friendly into to a new member...

Joyce, where would these exits be located? Are you looking for a restaurant in south Oklahoma City, north Oklahoma City or Edmond.
If you're looking for a good restaurant, I understand trying to find something along an interstate, but with morning traffic not being a big deal here, I'd be more flexible.
My suggestions: the Classen Grill or Jimmy's Egg along the Classen Boulevard exit from I-44, or Jimmy's Egg at the 2nd Street exit from I-35 (Edmond). There are more options, I'm sure. Of course if you were looking for something for today, then these responses were too late.

I'll give a big 'ol second on the Classen Grill.

Oklahoma is a fat state and the Classen Grill's food is probably a big part of that problem -- a great place.

to clarify the target location... those exits are in the northeast part of the city where i-44 and i-35 share the same roadbed. this stretch of road, imo, is fairly sparse in the 'good eats' department. 138a is the exit to the turner turnpike. exit 137 is ne 122nd where there's a cracker barrel on the west side of the interstate and some other greasy spoon on the east whose name escapes me. i can't think of any restaurants on the other exits.

while it's a bit out of the way, i'd recommend a unique place called pops in arcadia. it's about 5 miles east of i-35 on exit 141 (old route 66)... while it may be a bit of backtracking for someone coming from tulsa via the turnpike, it wouldn't be a big detour for somebody going southbound on i-35 from nebraska. it's a pretty cool place and well worth straying a bit off the interstate... if you're looking for good diner food in a place that is anything but run-of-the-mill, this is the place to go.

here's a link to their site (http://www.pops66.com)

Unfortunately, I am a little late as I just signed up this morning. I have a store (called Broome's Fried Pies) just off of Exit 136 (Hefner RD) on I-35.

We are open Wednesday through Friday from 6am till 7pm and on Saturdays and Sunday from 7am till 7pm.

We serve a variety of fruit and cream filled pies and offer a nice selection of meat filled pies.

If you are ever in the area, please feel free to join us.
