Any chance of getting the ability to edit our own posts enabled?

Personally I know it would help a ton with the weather threads so the first post stays as current as possible.

Just inquiring. : )

I thought it was already enabled?

I can edit mine.

And often do, when I make typos.

Of course I'm special.... heh

You can edit for up to an hour. After that, you're SOL.

Ahhh... hadn't noticed a time limit.

The weather threads are yet one more reason for a chat room.

He did that one time and I loved it. He need to do that each time there are storms approaching the metro.

I have a couple of questions. Can a word search engine be set up for this site? Is it possible? Is it feasible? [Thanks]

^

at the top of the page there's 'search' which searches for a word in all threads and at the top of each thread there's 'search this thread' which pretty much does what it says... is that what you're talking about?

I've discovered that each edition seems to restart the hour-long time limit. Hypothetically, one could edit his post 59 minutes after its inception, only to repeat this process 59 minutes later, so on and so forth.

AFCM, somehow, that doesn't seem like a viable solution.

I never stated such a technique was a viable solution to anything. I was merely demonstrating that one could edit, even after being declared "SOL".

This is the only board I've ever been on with this "feature."

It's stupid and unnecessary.

Why do you think that?
