Does anyone know what is going in the old Boomer Theater on Asp? They have completely gutted the entire first floor over the past week or so. Hopefully a new restaurant or bar, or a music venue!

It was home to part of Harold's corporate offices. Would be great to add another performance venue/bar to CC.

There is a Chipotle going in there after all. It appears though that there could be two retail spaces along Asp, or just a really big Chipotle, not sure. And they've demo'd the southernmost part of the old theatre, perhaps for an outdoor seating area? Either that or an alleyway to the parking lot behind the building. There will be office space in the upstairs portion.

While I'm glad to see Chipotle and the Boomer Theatre not vacant they could've done something really cool with the space, like a music venue or small theatre like it used to be. At some point very soon there won't be any more vacancies in the old buildings and they will have to start building new ones further north on Asp or on the parking lots along University. That will be good to see as the Corner gets more dense and hopefully adds student housing..

parking lots? there's only one parking lot on University, the tiny one adjacent to Boyd House, owned by the campus corner people. the huge parking lot is all OU's property. really doubt anything will get built soon...not to be negative, but some of the boutiques will probably close and free up some space.

Unless OU decides to develop its lots. The more popular and dense Campus Corner gets the more valuable those parking lots become...

the more valuable the parking spaces, the less likely they will sell them off
