I went in the BFL at 15th and Post this morning and one of the employees was using a vacuum cleaner with an attachment to vacuum out all the little bits of fallen onion skin from the onion display. I have never thought about the cleanup in a grocery store but for some reason was impressed with this. I liked this store when it was Albertsons, didn't like Williams, like BFL.

I went to the Buy for Less on 23rd & Penn the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and they were having a crawfish boil w/red potatoes and corn. It was super cheap ($2 per lb.) and yummy

When we first moved to Oklahoma, our first shopping experience was with Buy For Less. Not only did they have a great selection of "ethnic" foods, but the staff that wondered the store asked us if we need assistance finding anything - a first in a grocery store.

The one in Yukon is trashy. They have a great selection of food. The store is not clean though. Only go in there if I have to.

I'm always impressed by their selection too - the location at NW Expressway & Portland has also greatly improved their deli and have lots of prepared meals to-go and imported cheese. I have been helped more than once by the staff roaming the store!

I saw a man get shot in the face less than 10 yards from me in the BFL parking lot on 36th and MacArthur. It was about 10pm on a Friday night and one of my friends I was with didn't want to go in with us because "people are always getting mugged or shot there". Haven't been back since.

Should be fine as long as you don't head back there on a day they are running their popular Half Off Shots in the Face promotion

i've always been a fan of BFL's ethnic food department, their cheap packaged meats, their quality and value produce department (and i love the dried fruit they make at the Hefner & Penn store).

they could be a little cleaner, but the store has been there forever, so not surprising.

Do they still carry Japanese rice candy? My wife hasn't been able to find them in a long time.

I live rather close to the BFL on 36th and Mac. I go there for the seasoned meats and a quick pickup.

I work closer to the BFL on NW Expressway and Portland. I LOVE the cold and hot deli.
I find myself going there after work frequently.

I did love the sushi there, until the selection was changed.

I miss the spicy tuna, crab and salmon. :-(

I just went to BFL in MWC, they had a guy there playing live music while people shopped. Then my husband told me the other week they had a couple of people playing the guitar and banjo! I had to smile, when I left the store he was playing "Girl from Ipanema"!
