Anybody else notice the swirls during their newscast, tonight Friday? Are they getting closer to transitioning their shows to HD? I still think it's outrageous that Tulsa has a high def station and this largest city in the state doesn't.

I noticed the same thing. I don't know why they're not already there. They've aired one segment in HD several times recently (the "Great State" segment during the 6:30 newscast). I wonder what's stopping them from going full HD when they obviously have the ability.

I'm pretty sure a lot of it is scheduling and availability of technicians. The transition has a lot of techs booked solid for months. I don't think the HD conversion needs to be considered a "who can beat who" race.
