PREMIUM MEMBER FORUMS

I am hearing from the moderators that a few of you have voiced your opinion in regards to the new Premium Member only forums. So I am taking this opportunity to set the record straight and offer a little insight into why the change were made.

The "Off Topic" forum has been for Premium Members since day one so this particular forum should not be an issue.


The Bedroom to the Boardroom was becoming a little racy. In fact, some material in that forum was completely inappropriate for anyone under 18. As the parent of a 15 year old girl I would have been upset if she had “accidently” wondered into the forum and read some of the material. The decision was made to make it a Premium Member only forum to keep young prying eyes out. Since most kids under the age of 18 don't have a credit card. Making it a Premium Member Forum will prevent about 99% of young kids or teenagers from viewing that content.


As the site grows we will be adding additional features and benefits for Premium Members. These additions will obviously not affect the current content Registered Members have access to, since you've never had access to these new forums any way.

Todd, sweetie... I can understand making Bedroom to the Boardroom available to your paid members.. but I saw some other forums also.. that had the premium member access labeling.

Yes, some of the talks goin on in Bedroom to the Boardroom could be toooo much for kids...but whats the reason to make other forums for premium members?

Slowly, it seems everything will become only for paid members.

If my post is deleted, I will know that my posting had some truth and you did not want others to know the truth about your actions.

I am sure money is being misspent right now.. to operate this board. It happens in every organization. As more forums become for paid members.. look for members and partcipation to decline.

Actually, from the way it sounds, Todd doesn't plan on making any other current forums pay only forums.....only forums that he adds later will be pay only. If that is true, then everything won't eventually be for paid members....just the newer forums will. The only current forum that was restricted to Premium Members was Boardroom to Bedroom. Off Topic has always just been for Premium Members. The other Premium forums are new.
