Had a quick bite at the Braum's on Danforth last night and it was packed. There were softball and volleyball games at Sequoyah and football practice and most of the patrons had school gear on and either having been to game or on their way. Place was clean and organized. Aside from not being able to understand the kid calling ticket numbers, it was a great experience.

We don't usually get eggs at Braums but got a dozen extra large there about a month ago and they were huge. Bigger than Walmart or even Egglands Best extra large and 2 of the Braums eggs were double yoke. I couldn't tell you what we paid for them though.

They spent way too much money to install that system to just let it go away. However the store I used to work at maybe gets 1 or 2 mobile orders a week. Also went yesterday eggs were $5.59

I guess their online ordering has been down for months and they have had other system problems and they are slowing brining things back online.

Braum's has been cash only for almost a week. Drive-thrus have been down. Possibly related to the hack from last year. I haven't seen much news about it around, but I noticed it last Thursday.

I've been in memorial/macarthur store a couple times this last week & it looked like they were about to be back up and running as of a couple days ago. IT/POS folks were there and the manager was making an announcement to the team. But yea it's been a crazy week for them. Braums is very convenient until it isn't. Being down a full week just seems really extreme.

I was told they have been hacked, but they took a card last night.

One of the posts in the okc subreddit has some comments indicating they didn't pay the ransom last year and this is the hackers coming back to capitalize. Who knows, though?

Certainly seems to be the most plausible reason, considering they had a breach last year. I'm curious as to how they handled that breach, and if it left them exposed for more damage to be done now.

If that's true that managers can't get into email for months, that's a huge failure, and indicative they were completely unprepared for whatever hit them (again?).

Braum's has has had that spot picked out I think since pre-covid. There was a sign up at one point, but it was removed about two years ago.

The also have a spot slated for 178th and Portland on the south east side of the intersection.

As for the Casey's, it's a mile west at Penn. There is a brand new Integris doctor's office going in on the opposite corner at 192nd and Penn.

which burger are you getting and what location? braums is one of the cleanest tasting, and better fast food burgers, IMO. but i am very particular about which locations i eat at

and a good value too, no charge to add a shake and if you keep it a small instead of a medium, you almost always around $10.

Sonic has. Their national parent co. doesn't seem to care about quality any longer.

Braums is still good to me, just miss the 1/3rd lb burgers. But that isn't a quality issue. Just my opinion.

I agree with this. For many years, both Sonic and Braums made amazing burgers. Not anymore.

At Braums, on the infrequent occasions I've gone there recently, I get a single-patty cheeseburger with no mayo (can't stand mayo on a burger), no lettuce (they are bad about using big, bitter pieces) and extra special sauce (they still give me about a thimble full). Yesterday, I didn't make any special requests, just ordered a single-patty cheeseburger. Didn't like it.

I think the founder passed away and the business is in other family member's hands. Braum's was really, really good when I first moved here. It's alright but not what it used to be.

One thing I will give Braums is excellent customer service. I pulled up to and away from the payment window in about 30 seconds and when I got to the second window, there was an arm holding a bag with my burger hanging out the window. No way it was anywhere near fresh cooked, but at least it was hot, unlike McDonalds, where it takes much longer and then they hand you a lukewarm burger.

The newer generation jumped onto some dippy bandwagon to add some magic pixie dust to make their shakes "healthier." There was quite a dust cloud over the issue a few years ago. They also did something to their milk that made it go bad way too fast. We used to be routine Braum's customers until this happened, then we got sick of their filthy stores and finally just gave up . a lot of people still hold long-term nostalgic memories of Braum's, but IMHO there's nothing special about them anymore. They make a decent hamburger, I guess.

They used to make them with real milk. When they changed their burgers to what they are now they stopped making the shakes with milk and switched to some other liquid concoction at that same time.

I used to buy Braum's milk but I only buy and drink Fairlife fat free milk now and have for a few years. The Fairlife milk I bought today Feb 27 has a June 4 expiration date. Yes it is expensive but I like it for the 50% less sugar and 50% more protein. To me Fairlife fat free milk is comparable to regular 2% milk.

I think it is more a matter of me getting old and my tastes changing. Braum's good, Sonic good. Sometimes better than others. My only dining imperative is to gobble down the fries before they get cold and limp. I want crispy fries. That's actually one thing I notice is better about Sonic and some other places fries, in that the crinkle cut has something in the processing that helps them feel crispy longer. Must be something McDonalds perfected when they were cramming--- excuse me, fusing---all them chicken parts into nuggets. And the industry has expanded it.

There are only 4 ingredients that go into McD's chicken nuggets. Breast meat, rib meat, tenderloin and a little skin. Contrary to rumors there are no beaks or feet.
