I am downtown on a daily basis. This morning at OCPD headquarters I got out of my car and was almost knocked over by one of the worst smells I have ever encountered. I thought it must be isolated to the immediate area (sewer line etc.). But, when I arrived at the midtown YMCA at 9:20am I could smell it there too but not quite as strong.
Any idea what's literally "in the air"?

I was also wondering where he is. This thread reminded me to ask!

OMG I'm working right now at 12th and Classen and I was wondering the same thing this morning! Its like a very faint smell of a sewer, but it is very obvious it is not a natural odor. Maybe someone busted a sewer line somewhere around the CBD.

I thought it smelled like rotting fish this morning in the midtown area.

Festival of the Arts
You're off your game this morning. I would have at least expected you to declare that the smell was that of the rotting corpse of capitalism.
Maybe I had you figured wrong? :tiphat:

no, I just really don't enjoy the Arts Festival for some reason..
When i was very young, I must have been touched in a bad place by a republican at an Arts Festival.

Whatever it is, it was also present near the PD and county mid day on the 9th.
Not knock you over bad, but enough so I had no objection to clearing out a bit earlier than the original plan.

Glad I wasn't the only one smelling that. It was real faint over at my office by Saints. No one else smelled it at my office, I wonder if a fish truck had an accident or something.:beaten_fi
I noticed they're putting some dark material on the mound thingy at the Native American Cultural Center. Maybe it's stroooong manure...
