While you KIDS were in school the tye dye crazed started....TG&Y didn't want to get on the band wagon so, my wife and I tye dyed a bunch of 50 cent T-Shirts.....they brought $ 2.99 faster than we could make them.....My Supervisor demanded to know who the supplier was and when I told him he just shook his head and said keep going.......

Good ole David Hall...what a joke

After prison he moved to San Diego and went into the real estate business (I think it was real estate) Wonder if he was in one of those country club prisons?)

On February 13, 2007, Hall made his first appearance in the State of Oklahoma since he left office over thirty years before. He appeared at the Oklahoma History Center to help launch a new exhibit that features all of the Governors of the State of Oklahoma. Hall remarked that it was "like coming back to heaven." He is currently writing a book about his term as governor. It will also feature his views on his prison sentence as well as reflections on the 19 months he served in prison.

Hey USG 60, is the Jerry Fisher you mentioned the guy from Blood, Sweat, and Tears? He had ties to Oklahoma City. I went to school with his son in 6th grade at Western Oaks Elementary School in Bethany. He came by once and picked his son up on a motorcyle. Jerry ended up running a burger grill on the beach in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

Hey dude, yes it is the same Jerry Fisher. However, he didn't run a burger joint in Bay St. Louis, it was a pretty nice club on the beach and yes Katrina took it a way.....He said he and his family were taking the Insurance money and moving to Colorado....Haven't heard from him since.....

When I was in the fourth grade in 1974 a retired Warr Acres police officer came to my class to talk to us about the dangers of drugs. He had a paper sack that he claimed contained 200 bottles of pills he confiscated from Johnny Cash at N.W. 39th and McArthur in 1968. This is probably related to the arrest mentioned.

I remember when the arrest happened. Johnny Cash was supposed to play at Springlake when he got busted. There was enough political clout from the Springlake people that he did the show and was hustled out of town. USG60 can probably put a little more light on it. Also, that was when Henson Cargill (OKC BOY) was coming on the scene and they were hustling him and Cash all town trying to keep people guessing.....
