donbroncho 03-28-2009, 08:58 AM So whats the story on this place. I was down there for the Big 12 and I don't remember seeing it. Where is it located at. How long have they been around? I went to its myspace, but i couldnt see an address on there. Maybe Steve reported on it and i wasn't paying attention lol.
Be careful out there, its the worlds greatest sno-...maybe not
Easy180 03-28-2009, 10:00 AM Is this the place in between the parking garage and the former LIT?
jbrown84 03-28-2009, 07:52 PM I believe so. The name would make sense.
Jeff Rodgers 04-06-2009, 09:45 AM Hello, I'm Jeff Rodgers, owner of JJ's Alley. A friend of mine mentioned that some questions about my place appeared on this site, so I just registered in order to comment . The address is 212 E. Sheridan. It is located right next to the parking garage (actually shares the west wall of the parking garage). There is also a back entrance off of flaming lips alley (directly behind the left field wall of the Bricktown ballpark). It was formerly D's Pub, which was formerly Bricktown Coney and Pub. We have live acoustic music 7 nights / week and never a cover charge. You can see a list of musicians and some links to videos at MySpace.com - Ds Pub in Bricktown (Soon to be JJ's Alley) - 99 - Male - OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - www.myspace.com/dspub (http://www.myspace.com/dspub) . If you look in the window and don't see much going on, that means the party upstairs -- go to the back and up the stairs where the full bar is located (also 2 smaller bars downstairs and pizza by the slice downstairs). I have 2 partners (Jim Bentley and Jerry Bryan -- all 3 of us local attorneys). We took over on January 2, 2009. We have been using both names "D's Pub -- soon to be JJ's Alley" We plan on having a "grand re-opening" some time in May when we officially change to "JJ's Alley" at which time all of our signs, logos, t-shirts , etc. should be ready. Please come by and check us out !!

I caught Mike Hosty solo acoustic here once, and it was a very fun time. Very interesting space upstairs.
okcboy 04-06-2009, 10:30 PM Great little spot. Just need to work on ventilation. Gets a little smoky at times. You do have some good tunes coming. Good luck to you. Bricktown
needs a place like yours.
Steve 04-06-2009, 10:59 PM Jeff, are you guys going to keep the building's funky decor?

USG '60 05-17-2009, 08:37 PM When will Kristy Krueger be back?
Jeff Rodgers 05-23-2009, 04:51 PM Kristy Kruger will be back at JJ's Alley on July 10th --she is scheduled for the early show (6:30 - 9:30). After her last visit to JJ's , she made a point to call and say how much she loves playing here and how she wants to make it a regular stop for her. Look for future dates on our myspace profile page: MySpace.com - Ds Pub in Bricktown (Soon to be JJ's Alley) - 99 - Male - OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - www.myspace.com/dspub (http://www.myspace.com/dspub)

flippity 09-28-2009, 01:06 PM bump
USG '60 09-28-2009, 02:50 PM Since someone bumped this, I want to take the opportunity to comment on the interior decor. It is WONDERFULLY whimsical and charming. It is an extremely fine example of integrating found objects and funky artifacts into a rustic interior. It is a marvelous place to let the eye wander, and the clever use of mirrors doubles the effect. You owe it to yourself to go at LEAST once just to experience the ambience.
RedDirt717 09-28-2009, 04:32 PM It's my favorite bar in bricktown, I've actually played a gig there.
Makes me wonder how many of you I've actually bumped shoulders with. Hosty is a good friend of mine, I catch his acoustic show there every time he makes an effort to do one.
OKCMallen 09-28-2009, 04:35 PM Everyone drinks $3.00 well drinks anytime.
:congrats::yourock::ohno:
tburn 09-28-2009, 05:11 PM my friend and I went to JJs Alley before our 20th highschool reunion a few months ago. loved it! not sure who the live music act was that night -- we ventured up to the top floor so we could gab. we even went back for a night cap after the reunion AND had pizza! we had a great time. i hope to get my husband in there with me one night for Hosty or Keeton. This place is much better than the typical "meat market" bars I've been in bricktown.
Bullbear 05-03-2012, 03:45 PM Best Bar in Bricktown.. great live music. if only that pesky smoke were gone.. maybe someday.. a man can dream.. but until then it could benefit from some ventilation especially upstairs!.. but great place.. awesome prices!

Agreed. It's not even a competition. The smoke doesn't bother me so much when I'm there; I do hate having to drop the shirt off at the cleaners the next day if I'm in anything nicer than a t-shirt, though.
