Colt .45 was one of my favorite shows. Colt was a government agent
or detective type.
westsidesooner 04-15-2009, 09:58 AM Arsenic and Old Lace. Absolutely great! The reference to Raymond Massey
about him looking like Boris Karloff is because Karloff played his part on stage.
Cary Grant! We're look-a-likes
"Keeping Mum"! Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) plays a vicar with a very disfunctional family. Patrick Swazey is a golf pro always on the make.
Both of these look like excellent choices. Thank you both for the input and if anyone else has anymore ideas let me know. I'm anticipating that I may be looking forward to (not) a period of bed rest after an upcoming medical procedure and need to keep from going insane....what better way than murder and comedy. Prune if you look like Cary Grant Im sure you must be really popular with the ladies. Im afraid I'm closer to looking like Boris. :ohno: And papaou....I watched the trailer on Keeping Mum and Maggie Smith is another one of my favorite actresses. Again Thanks

papaOU 04-23-2009, 02:28 AM Hey! That show lasted almost a year!
The pilot was released in Europe as a feature film. Parks was supposed to be the new James Dean.
He fooled them. He's not gay and is still alive.
Ever seen the movie "Grindhouse"? He's great in that!! :tiphat:

Generals64 05-20-2009, 08:12 PM Does anybody out there know the first name of the character Paladin played by Richard Boone? Or, was there just not a name>>>>?????
Prunepicker 05-20-2009, 11:07 PM Does anybody out there know the first name of the character Paladin played
by Richard Boone? Or, was there just not a name?
His name was never given. He got his nick name from someone he was
supposed to hunt down. Richard Boone played that part, too.
That was a great series. It should be on TV Land.
Prunepicker 05-20-2009, 11:10 PM I thought of a TV show I used to watch every week and it hasn't been
mentioned.
Bat Masterson!
papaOU 05-20-2009, 11:13 PM Remember this one? Probably won't make it in TV Land.
The Rebel
The Ballad of Johnny Yuma by Richard Markowitz & Andrew J. Fenady, Published copyright date: Oct. 29, 1959
Original Air Dates: 1958 - 1961 (ABC)
Away, away, away rode the rebel, Johnny Yuma.
Johnny Yuma, was a rebel. He roamed, through the west.
And Johnny Yuma, was a rebel, he wandered alone.
He got fightin’ mad, this rebel lad. He packed his star as he wandered far.
Where the only law was a hook and a draw, the rebel.
(Away, away, away rode the rebel.)
Johnny Yuma, was a rebel. He roamed, through the west.
And Johnny Yuma, was a rebel, he wandered alone.
He searched the land, this restless lad. He was panther quick and leather tough.
Cause he had figured that he’d been pushed enough, the rebel.
(Away, away, away rode the rebel.)
Johnny Yuma.
Johnny Yuma, was a rebel. He roamed, through the west.
And Johnny Yuma, the rebel, he wandered alone.
He was fightin’ mad, this rebel lad,
With a dream he would hold until his dying breath
He would search his soul and gamble with death.
Away, away, away rode the rebel, Johnny Yuma.
When the song was recorded by Johnny Cash the lyrics had a small change in the sixth line: "He packed no star as he wandered far."
Nick Adams as Johnny Yuma.
Thanks to Leslie N. from Quebec for help with the lyrics.

Prunepicker 05-22-2009, 09:21 PM didn't Johnny Yuma carry a sawed-off rifle instead of a Shotgun or pistol?
That was Josh Randall played by Steve McQueen on Wanted: Dead or Alive.
His gun was call the "Mare's Leg".
Johnny Yuma was the lead in The Rebel played by Nick Adams. Johnny Cash
sang the theme.
Prunepicker 05-22-2009, 09:33 PM didn't Johnny Yuma carry a sawed-off rifle instead of a Shotgun or pistol?
He had a side iron. The sawed off shotgun was used when he was sleeping, I
think. But he had a sawed off.

papaOU 05-22-2009, 10:44 PM wow old people TV......groovy!
Too much t.v. until about '68.
Circle around me chillin and Mr Hankey will sing us a song.
I am gross and perverted
Im obsessed n deranged
I have existed for years
But very little had changed
I am the tool of the government
And industry too
For I am destined to rule
And regulate you
I may be vile and pernicious
But you can't look away
I make you think Im delicious
With the stuff that I say
I am the best you can get
Have you guessed me yet?
I am the slime oozin out
From your tv set
You will obey me while I lead you
And eat the garbage that I feed you
Until the day that we don't need you
Don't got for help...no one will heed you
Your mind is totally controlled
It has been stuffed into my mold
And you will do as you are told
Until the rights to you are sold
That's right, folks..
Don't touch that dial
Well, I am the slime from your video
Oozin along on your livinroom floor
I am the slime from your video
Cant stop the slime, people, lookit me go
:gossip: :tiphat:

Circus Boy was Mickey Dolenz (The Monkees)
Lee Aaker in Rin-tin-tin but I don't remember his name in the series.
Rin Tin Tin VIII passed away June 14, 2007 only days before his successor, Rin Tin Tin X was born. Rin Tin Tin X was born on June 23, 2007 and has already begun delighting fans nationwide with his amazing ability and talent.
Sky King....Penny) Gloria Winters
Clipper) Ron Hagerthy
Lassie.....Timmy) Jon Provost But remember that Lassie ran from 1954 to 1974 so the boy could have been played by several people.
