Either I'm an idiot, or are we only allowed to pick from a few avatars and can't upload our own right now? I'm utilizing a rubber duckie at the moment.

Idiot is such a strong word. : P

I think you actually have to have either paid for the right to have one or it is gone now. I think I set mine up during the fund raising drive a couple years ago. I just looked and yeah, there is no way to choose one.

Hopefully this is one of the changes they are thinking about. The avatars help bring some personality about the person out, no real sense in restricting it.

This was an unintended change when we recently updated our software.

We'll add it to the list of things to correct.

Cool... Glad to hear it...

Cause I've been sporting avatars of Susan Tedeschi on all my other web site... Have for years and years...

My avatar has disappeared. ? It shows up in my user control panel and showed up by my username on posts earlier today, but now it is gone. Everyone else's remains the same, so it can't be my computer or Internet connection....hmmm. I don't know much about this stuff.

Something very strange is going on with the avatars...

I've double-checked all the proper settings with the vB admin panel, yet these problems still persist.

Please be patient while I seek outside help.

I believe I resolved the problem.

When we did the upgrade, it made it so only subscribers would have access to custom avatars.

I changed the setting so everyone should have this now.

Did you mean to enforce a 50x50 pixel restriction or was that an oversight?

I was just about to mention that. 50x50 is extremely small, smaller than most current avatars. 100x100 would be more than acceptable I think. Also the size restrictions seems to be a bit too low. That should be around 100k max size.

I changed it to 75 x 75 and 50K for non-subscribers.

VIP and above get 100 x 100 and 75K.

There are a few folks with seemingly huge avatars still...

Yeah, not sure why the parameters are allowing those monster images.

If you see any, send me a PM and I'll resize them.
