I've been meaning to write a review of this place for some time, as it has been my sentimental favorite restaurant in OKC ever since I moved here a couple years ago. I've been hesitant though because I really do consider it a hiddem gem!

Cafe Antigua is a Guatamalan restaurant on 19th and Classen that specializes in breakfast,, but also offers a few other items such as steak, pork chops, sandwiches. However, they are known for the breakfest. Nearly every breakfest item features eggs. The eggs are made any you want it, but they are always served in a special way. The dish they are most known for is their #7, which is two tortillas with beans in the middle, topped with an egg. On top of the egg, they sprinkle a couple differnet kinds of cheeses, a special marinara type suace, and avocado. They then put chips around the edges. Price: $6. Taste: Amazing. You cannot get a bid dish at this place, and trust me since I've tried about every one of them. They are all very fresh and delicious.

They also serve really great frush fruit smoothies that I could drink everyday. The restaurant is a family run restaurant and has some of the nicest wait-staff I've ever seen. You really root for them to succeed because they are the definition of the American dream, moving from another country to start a restaurant in Oklahoma City.

Newsok.com did a feature story on the restauraunt, with a video that interviews one of the workers and provides more information about the food they offer. Here's the link (http://newsok.com/cafe-antiguas-no.-7-hits-a-home-run-with-diners/article/3350134?custom_click=pod_lead_life)

I try to eat there every Saturday, without fail, as long as I'm in town. It is the best.

Cafe Antigua has amazing breakfast (so good that I haven't tried anything else). They make this dish called mosh which is kind of like sweet oatmeal but completely different from anything you have ever had! They serve it with toast and a huge pile of fruit (apples, bananas, strawberries, and raisins) with a sweet sauce drizzled over the top. The only bad thing about this restaurant is they close at 5 everyday which makes it harder to find time to go eat there!

There's a new dessert type restaurant that just opened next door to Cafe Antigua, I forget the name.

Their fresh mango juice along with their breakfast is a great way to start the day. I second the mosh.

I've been getting the #5 for two years now. It's so good that I can't persuade myself to try something else.

Wife and I had brunch here two weeks ago. Man it had been way to long. Wife had the Mosh and I believe a #8, and I had the famous #7. Good stuff, I wish I had some as I'm typing this. If you haven't been, I highly recommend. It's definitely one of the best breakfasts in the metro, and it's cheap too.

Agree...the owner used to work for me (amazing family); they just won't open on Sundays; I've begged. Gotta respect 'em.

Cheever's is open from 10:30-3:00 on Sundays. You have to be able to work in brunch somewhere in that slot. Everything in moderation; even church.

I'll have to find that in my Bible where it says to put God in moderation? I believe that is in First Cheevers Chapt. 3 verse 1. :Smiley063

I just want to thank everyone who recommended this place. It has become a favorite of my family's for Saturday breakfast. I always get the "light" breakfast (not sure what number that is). It includes eggs, fruit, toast and a bowl of mosh. The only thing we can thing of on why it is called light is that it contains light colors. It could easily feed two people.

I went in there the other day around 12:30 and they were completely full! Business definitely seems to be doing good there...
