Tomorrow is Military Appreciation Night. How many here donated their tickets?

My understanding is that the Dallas Mavericks kind of started this event.

Stein: Seats for Soldiers - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?page=SteinSeatsforSoldiers-081225)

Speaking of the Mavericks.... Didn't you love Dirt Nosepickski's reaction every time things didn't go his way, like they did last week? Russell just owned that court last night. And Thabo is quickly becoming my favorite player. And to do it without Kevin and Jeff? What a tremendous upside this team has, we just need to start winning those close ones and finish strong.

I don't have floor seats, but I would have donated my tickets (even though it would have killed me to do so:)). I didn't see any publicity about the donation part, although I knew it was military appreciation night.

I donated two of mine and if the other two don't sell then I'll donate those too.

It's not too late.

Go to Account Management then Forward your tix

to: tixfortroops@thunder-nba.com

I put Thunder - Military Appreciation in the First and Last name of the recipient.. then I got a Confirmation email that I donated seats to the Military..

sheesh, it's the least I can do, these poor kids out in the desert for months on end risking their lives, leaving their families .. ugh.

If they get a chance to have a fun night out and see the Thunder, then I'm all for it.

I heard on the news that a country star was singing at the Game tonight.

Anyone know who this is going to be?

My guess is Toby Keith.

I haven't heard anything... where did you hear that?

It would be cool but I doubt it would be Toby Keith, he hasn't even been to a game as far as I know.

I heard it on KFOR this morning when they were getting ready for the Rise and Shine show with Lance and David. They were going to have the Singer on the show, but i had to leave to go to work.

My Guess is Toby b/c he has always been a HUGE supporter of our Troops.

No biggie, it was on the Thunder website.. I donated 2 tix and forwarded the other 2 to an Army Leuitenant and he is going to distribute them to Army families... I think they will get a thrill out of being 'appreciated' tonight.

A nice way to say ' thank you' for your service.

If you end up with extras before 4:45pm.... he might be able to use them... PM me if so.

I would like to thank everyone who helped make Military appreciation night such a success. Our soldiers have to deal with situations ranging from 'high stress' to 'grinding boredom' to 'weather extremes'. It is a definite boost to the healing process when the community steps forward to show their appreciation. So again a big thank you from the Inter Service Family Assistance (Yellow Ribbon) Committee.
